For this run you could of used a hunting rifle since decon uses one and tinker tom sells his special variant hunting rifle (also you can get a railway rifle for free at big j8m's junkyard)

One free railroad armored coat is in wagon on rails, at 1 station... Or between statons... Don't remember name of station, but if you go on first minutemen quest and go right on rails, you will get to wagon, where is railroad deadbox with that armor(looks like chem box/cooler)

Yeah, everybody can beat the game in any way form. But can you beat yourself. Can you beat up the defenses that you set up. Can you beat the settlement and settlers that you set up for max defense. Most likely not. And I bet you can't guess the place that you should take on.
