When using reflect rings, you would do more damage if you multi targeting on your own party rather than single targeting. Multi targeting halves the damage, but then you do that 4 times. Double damage.

I knew Archaeoavis was going to be a brick wall for Black Mages, and the only one. I was _not_ expecting reflected Megaflares against TwinTania. Figured you'd just directly cast the death spell, but that was much flashier! Well okay, Almagest is kind of an HP-check for every team. I've seen someone !Release the eyeball jelly things (?) to Break the Almagest part, but Neo ExDeath's magic defense (and level) is bonkers high. For what I've heard is the easiest single-class challenge, that final victory was clutch. Well played!

In the last FFV speedrun from RPG Limit Break they showcased a pretty neat desert skip. So you can instantly and easy traverse the desert after the whack a mole fight. Maybe something that will keep your sanity for the next runs ;)

Other then the PHYSICAL side of the forking Tower by 4x FLAME RINGS In world 1 then have your 4 Black mages either hit themselves with Fire rods to restore HP or use Fira spells in World 1 Firaga in Worlds 2 and 3 to restore HP. Coral rings ONLY absorb TIDAL wave so theirs no way Black Mages can restore their own HP with those just NEVER fight Leviathan/Twin Tania BOTH in World 3 WITHOUT 4x Coral ring users.

So far, it kinda feels like the only benefit to a balanced team is budget. Quad Knight and Black mage was a pretty smooth ride. Why even fuss with the other 20 jobs at this point anyways?

You will have an incredibly smooth playthrough if you do some permutation of Knight Black Mage White Mage. Most of the other jobs are there for flavor, but there is indeed a lot of overlap. Theres still some cool and interesting things to see.

I think flare would have outdamaged Fire3 against Exdeath at the end there. Well, until you added in broken rods into the equation since broken rods would have outdamaged flare anyway lmfao.

About that the game won't allow it at least NOT in the pixel version in fact on the PIXEL remaster you break the rods that are NOT equipped in order to use them that way and no I tried to hit the 30,000 HP Stingrays WITH BROKEN Ice Rods with a Ice Rod equipped I had BOTH the Broken Ice rod and Blizzaga itself used normally only hit them for around 3000 damage each.

Out of curiosity will you be doing runs for the 4 special jobs added in the GBA version or sticking entirely to the PR version?

I don't think so, because you gain those extra jobs very late in the game, negating the purpose or single job challenge in the first place

Fun fact: Any job that can equip a Rod can trivialize Shinryu. Set the Wonder Wand so the next spell is Berserk, and then go in with 4 Hermes Sandals and a lot of Phoenix downs. Berserk him, revive whenever someone dies, and spell cast till he dies. Not sure if changed in PR though.

I've been working on these videos for the past year lol. I have 6 more playthroughs banked. They're doing well so I'm prioritizing them. Probably helps its right before the Four Job Fiesta. I thought these we're going to totally bomb so I'm pleasantly surprised.
