Sizzle as someone that has done that themselves blue lions then grabbing Raphael and Hilda so you get dedue Raphael and Hilda all who are good with in armor and axe is what is the best bet from someone who has done that beforehand. And gambits that allow you to go faster like dancer or stride or ranged attacks like poison arrows or if you are ok with using new game plus ashes to dust are also extremely helpful. Also the gambit that allows you to counter from any range could be vital as well as the one that prevents you from getting one shot considering fortress knights low resistance

personally i think a harder challenge would be to only use swords because there are so few classes who need swords, and so few units who are good with swords. and the only 1-2 and i guess 1-3 range are levin sword and levin sword+, which aren't exactly easy to come by until late game, plus it does magic damage so it's not very good for most units. also magic only would probably be impossible to beat the game with due to there only being like 5 uses of spells with a max of 3 mages at the start of the game. so you'd need to ignore the rules for the first couple fights. To make the axe only run easier, I think picking Golden Deer would have been the most effective house to choose, because you have Hilda who gets a hero relic that's an axe, (sure Edlegaurd does too but that just makes it even) and Claude has a budding talent in axes, and you can still just immediately snatch Sylvain as a girl, and you get Cyril. Sure, you can recruit Hilda and Cyril in Blue Lions, but Demitri sucks at axes, and the only reason to pick Blue Lions is Dedue. I will say that Blue Lions are better than Black Eagles for this challenge, because Dedue is better than Hilbert for this, and you can just get over the fact Demitri sucks at axes and make him use them anyways, he's strong either way. Outside of the house choice, recruiting Felix, for his crest and personal skill, Rapheal for his proficiency in axes, and Leonie for just being an overall good unit, as replacements for Dorothea, Linhardt, and Hubert, due to them having poor strength growths, would have been better. but you beat it anyway so... guess it doesn't matter

Honestly swords might be easier because you have a MUCH easier early game; swords being so damn light means you get a much smaller strength penalty for using them, and if there's one thing I've noticed about swords, it's that you tend to get special swords a lot more than other special weapons, save maces and hammers.

Blue Lions gives itself to a lot of runs. A pretty balanced party and the ability to recruit EVERY recruitable character means you get way more content than the other 3 routes.

I did most of my game in blue lions with almost everyone as assassins even dlc characters (mercedes was my op assassin and took out death knight twice) I just had to give her a few strength boosters which are easy to get with the greenhouse. But still it is dooable. :P

If you ever do this again, I recommend doing Brawling for your infantry units so you can get the Combat Art "Healing Focus" to heal 50% of your HP. Really good for tanking some damage and then healing it. Especially with Edelgard since she will become the Armored Lord regardless of her proficiency. Also, I would say try to beat the game on Maddening with Church of Seiros units only which includes: Byleth, Cyril, Catherine, Flayn, Manuela, Hanneman, Shamir, Alois, and Seteth. I imagine it will be very difficult in the start and end game, but moderate in the middle.

Axes are pretty broken indeed. And due to the sanboxiness of 3H, you can easily overcome the hit rate issue. They really did lances dirty though. Guess having Canto meant nerfing the Weapon itself (unless you're Seteth, Ferdinand or Sylvain. Bernadetta to a stretch).

This seems like an extremely easy challenge - Axes have always been one of the more powerful weapon types in Fire Emblem. It'd be much more difficult in a magic only playthrough. I've done it and it was very challenging, you should try it!

Slender Boris at least swords can hit. Axe based classes have a tendency to have lower skill so they hit less. They also have the least accurate primary. A bad combo. What does doing slightly more damage matter when you hit half as much.

I have only used 1 gambit through the entire game, and I am in the second part. Also when I had to level up Dorthea, I paired her with Hubert, he would go down a path with Dorthea, hit a unit, then have Dorothea finish it off. Now these are some of my best units. Dorthea is a Gremory, and Hubert is a Dark Bishop. Dark magic is just OP and Meteor as well as Agneas Arrow are so powerful. My favorite character in the game is Bernadetta. She is a super powerful Bow Knight, and is just adorable. Especially in the second part.

I did a meme class run and I have a few things to say, Lysithea is actually really good as a Pegasus knight using swords, Dimitri is a good healer, dedue is such as a good paladin, how the heck is Annette good using regular axes, Ingrid is a good healer and if I ever do a normal blue lions route I’m making her a bishop since she gets more magic then strength, Flayn is pretty good as an armored knight, Lorenz is better using axes than magic, and byleth, I just got my best byleth, he is just so good using gauntlets

I tried to watch this earlier but it wouldn't load, so I went to my downloaded videos. And watched your super mario galaxy 2 starbitless video instead. Also, I would love to see a combination between your 2 main challenges. Minimum jumps in super mario galaxy. Using the challenge you did in kirby and mixing it with the game you started with... Also, I allowed wall jumps (In super mario odyssey they don't increment the ingame jump counter) I tried it a bit and I will tell you how the beginning works... To skip jumping into a pipe at the beginning you need to use a second player to move a plant (the kind that if you could already spin at that point to make them pull backwards and then launch back in place hitting mario but the second player can also move it in the same way and hit mario into the pipe). Then you need to use like 1-2 jumps to climb the little tower and gain the spin ability. Then you will need to bounce off goombas to get launch star shards by walking off the edge, spinning, bouncing on goombas, and spinning (sometimes also needing a wall jump and another spin). That is all I know...

So I noticed you didn't use any Bolt Axes it is possible to farm up Arcane Crystals from around the monastery and once you hit B rank with the natural mages should increase their usefulness Also during Chapter 5 if anyone enters the archers range it will aggro the entire map. During Chapter 17 if you go left instead of right and avoid approaching the bottom left area the reinforcements will not spawn until you defeat the two bosses

Hollow Knight with minimum uses of the nail? The number is probably going to be at least 30. You have to break some doors before even getting the vengeful spirit. Just kill as few things as possible until you get Vengeful Spirit. I’d also recommend rescuing enough grubs to get grubsong for some additional soul. Familiar charms will be super useful. I’d suggest getting Crystal Heart as soon as possible because it deals damage. Fall into Deepnest via the pit in the fungal wastes and get Weaversong. Weaversong+grubsong should get the job done for a while. Then go back and defeat other bosses and enemies for geo and more upgrades. Finally, make sure to grab Sharp Shadow.

I feel like the older games (specifically FE6 because of how terrible axes were there) would be significantly more interesting to do an axes only challenge. Especially with the weapon triangle actually existing and units being locked to certain weapon classes meaning you wouldn't be able to use characters like Roy at all. I know it's probably not going to happen because no one cares about FE6 and the video would preform terribly, but just something I thought about while watching this.

@Aaron Byleth got a bunch of stat-boosters and hits them hard. Catherine's base strength is also enough for her to 2RKO for a while. Constance is becoming an MVP with Mystic Blow, a brawling combat art. She's a top-5 unit because of that one art.

@Aaron I'm playing on Maddening. Gambits aren't very accurate, so Death Blow is vital. Claud is my 2nd best unit right now. Felix and Catherine are just below. I figured out a way to get Fiendish Blow for Constance without using a tome, so she's a nuke. Like a 1-range Lysithea. The problem with Blue Lions is that you don't get any gauntlets until Ch2. It felt like cheating, so I restarted the playthrough. :(
