In general I would say tobi, situationally the first one i would actually say is pukei-pukei. If pukei has scatternuts in his mouth, he can stun and poison you with 1 move instantly. Very nasty combo.

5:40 lore wise the coral highlands is full of energy absorbed from dead monsters. You can see the rotten veil tainting the lower areas while the higher areas are filled with life. It's not colorful for no reason cause it's powered by the corpses of elder dragons.

My best gaming experience was probably in Sekiro. After it took me 4 hours to beat the Final Boss on my first playthrough, and still 1 hour in NG+, it was quite exhilarating to beat him on my first try and only three heals in NG++.

But did you beat him with the demon bell and without the charm? That is where the fun (the pain) is at. Got him pretty quickly on NG but had to properly learn his entire moveset on NG+ because without the charm you take damage from blocks (not from parries). So if he goes for a 6 hit spear combo and you mess up one parry...you die.

Wow, man, that's great!! Awesome challenge, keep up with the good stuff!! My best gaming experience? Uhm... I have no idea. But in MHW was definitely when I first killed Legiana. I love Legiana, it's probably my favorite in the game, it's so pretty, it's movements are pretty, it's armor is pretty... and it was being hyped up by the game a lot, but when I fought it I could kill it easily, I felt so powerful. It was probably the turning point for me, when I started to get the hang of it and it stopped being a torture game (it was my first serious attempt at MH). Legiana's still the monster I enjoy the most probably.

My best gaming experience was when I went on a journey with my baby brother in beating The Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time-Master Quest for the first time.😁 We spent weeks playing the game because I would wait until we had time to play the game together. At one point, he even gave me a idea to solve the a puzzle too, he was only 3 years old too.😉👍 I remember once the credits started rolling and everyone was dancing in happiness... I remember looking at my baby brother. Little tears in his eyes as he asked me: " Is it over? " After thinking a bit with the music playing, I said: " Yes, we did it "😌 Then we both sat there, looking at the images of the adventure and listening to the song of the credits... He wasn't sad at all, he loved the adventure and was remembering everything we did.😊❤ During the third quarter part of the song, I caught myself tearing up too. Knowing that me and my baby brother will remember this adventure, the adventure of two heros saving the day.💖 Just remembering about it gives me fuzzy feeling and joy too. Nothing has ever since beat that gaming experience, and I don't think anything will again. Unless I watch him beat the master quest for the first time as well. I think that's the only thing that could beat it.☺ After that, my baby brother fell in love with gaming. Whenever I get to see him, he has some fun story's to tell about his adventures and imagination. Sometimes to the point in which a family visit, turns into a gaming visit for me and my brother. LOL😅 Sorry for going on the rant, though I would said a wholesome experience of mine since yah worked so hard in your own adventure. Maybe not my favorite gaming moment, but my favorite MHW moment so far was being super early game and doing an exploration of the wasteland before coming across a Diablos just chillin. So I obviously fought it, had an epic back and forth over what felt like an hour, finally had it on the ropes after burning through basically every item in my pouch aaaaaand it left the area.... I almost quit the game at that point, simultaneously the most epic fight I've had being so ill-equipped and unprepared for a monster yet still nearly winning, and the most frustrating BS I've experienced in the game having it just yeet out of existence while I'm in the middle of smashing it's face

The area was intended to be this way to reflect the real world, as Monster Hunter as a series (and Monster Hunter: World more than any other) is based on imaginative realism. The designs of monsters, locales, and everything in between is meant to connect to real life in some way with an end goal of easing your brain into the fictional landscape. I know it’s just an opinion, but it has no backing of any sort. Knowing this, it’s perfectly fine to dislike to appearance of the locale, but ignorance of the design decisions before forming the opinion is just not proper.

The design decisions don't and shouldn't change your mind on if you like something aesthetically. All the areas in the game are based on the real world in some way or another. Just because its based off the coral reef doesn't mean anything. To me it was a needlessly colourful addition to the game. Also I have seen a coral reef before, it works because of where it is. As you said, design decisions shouldn't affect the opinion, but making a opinion clearly without the design decisions in mind is what I was after. Nevertheless, I think that we can both agree that the Coral Highlands is one of the most unique landscapes in Monster Hunter. Also, I will take any opportunity to rant about one of my favorite games. Not sure what is the best gaming experience I had, but I'll share two good ones I remember as you mentioned it First is MHW. My first playthrough. My first MH game. Hunting Brachydios for the first time, got invaded by both Deviljo and Bagle Jesus. All three was sitting on top of me and hitting non stop, but only me, no turf wars. I got angry. Fought all three at once. Cut off bagel's tail and forced Deviljo and Brachydios to run. Decided to finish bagel off. Then went for revenge on Deviljo and only then went after the target (Brachydios). No faints, no seeds and a good lance Second is when I was playing Skyrim with lots of hardcore combat modes and lots of mods that made dragons harder and for some reason with thief (no combat skills at all). Was getting stalked by a dragon. Almost got away, but got stuck between him and a giant camp. It seemed like giants didn't aggro and I had to fight dragon. Hardest fight you could ever get in Skyrim, almost killed a dragon, got killed from behind by one of the giants for no reason. Loaded in right before the fight. Again got angry. Somehow managed to fight off one giant and the dragon, kill both, then went after a giant that stayed in the camp and his mammoths. All with no combat skills

Dude. So proud. I did a naked run back during the first Spring Event while wearing no armor. I did have the Fair Wind Charm. New character. Used Insect Glaive for the first time in series. (HBG & Great Sword are main Weapons) I did not defeat any monster more than once, built the Iron Glaive and upgraded that weapon along with my blast moth Pseudocath. I failed Pink Rathian quest once and Xeno failed twice. Did this whole run in 2 sittings. One 14 hour sitting and then about a 4 hour sitting. If you count the 90 minutes it too for me to make the character I clocked in just under 20 hours. Xeno bit the dust while I stood tall, proud, and only wearing my underwear.

I think one of my favorite gaming moments was killing Savage pickle with my fiancee, we killed yian garuga and rajang but we were a bit afraid of how strong pickle could be, at the end we killed him with out a single KO, and was honestly kinda disappointing lol, I was expecting a way harder challange, but it was a amazing feeling to know how much fiancee improved (she says she hate the game but still plays a lot with me and wasnt able to dodge much for a long time)

It took me 20 minutes to kill Teostra with a maxed level lancegun, I dont think he killed it in less than 50 minutes with a base weapon... it's impossible to deal so much damage with that weapon, and we didn't see any clip of any of the combat

Dang good job dude. I don't know what greatest moment in gaming would be, but I know a really good one was when I beat bonetail in paper Mario ttyd. I went through the whole game with a max of 15 health basically as a glass cannon, and still got through the pit of 100 trials and beat bonetail. Not gonna lie it made me feel awesome. About maps, I feel like the highlands color suits it due to its theme, but I think I see you point. Personally my least favorite map would be the ancient forrest, it looks good, but I despise parts of its layout. It made it extremely difficult for me to complete a quest to deliver wyvern eggs. It took at least 2 to 3 hours. It soured me on the ancient Forrest. Normally my least favorites are desert maps, so the fact that the Forrest beat out the wildspire waste for least favorite is saying something. Side note, that area in the waste you said you liked, it looks beautiful, but it's always infuriated me because in that area there's this weird buzzing nose coming from a certain spot there that I can never figure out the source of, lol.

There are two siege hunts, like Zora, that you CAN die before the final fight. They haven't been in the main-line games for over a decade cause the monsters haven't, either. Shen Gaoren and Lao-shan Lung.
