This was a really entertaining one. Good to see you found an interesting challenge for this game - and one that actually required co-op, too. Favorite part was...I dunno, there's a lot of candidates, but it's between the koopa dance strat or skipping the snake block in the final stage!

I knew this game had a 2-player mode, but I would have never thought to make one player ground pound the other! Really impressive stuff here. You two vibe well together, the editing was great, the tricks looked awesome, ... By the way, I thought this challenge was gonna be completely impossible and would require tons of right presses, so in your community post I guessed it'd take 2 right presses for the memes. Turns out my meme guess was not that far off!

wow, i love how 6-A almost seems like it was purpose-built to force you to try and keep your momentum. i guess mario games have kind of always been about trying to get through a level in one fluid run, but that's really emphasized when you learn you can do a whole level with just the momentum you get from bouncing off enemies.

Definitely the koopa dance, especially hearing the excitement in his voice during his revelation where he realizing it was a strategy. This is probably your most entertaining video yet, because the audio archives of the gameplay are really insightful and add a lot of flavor to the content. Overall I would definitely say its my favorite aspect. Nice work!

I love the creativity at play here! Mario challenges risk getting somewhat trivialized when the player is forced to whip out either another player or the white tanooki costume, but here I *loved* how you got to use every single tool availabe to even the playing field and the challenge felt fair. Amazing, how this is how far one must go to make the metric ton of extra lives nsmb2 gives the player seem balanced 😂

This was a brilliant video and I think the commentary from two people helped to make this vid stand out and led to it being even more enjoyable than usual As for the challenge itself, if you use Ceave’s old rule of gameplay Vs meta right presses, then you did succeed at this challenge because there were no gameplay right presses

Great video. My favourite nsmb2 video. I think this game is very underated and the team work you guys had to use was really fun to watch. The bubble chaining was edgy but also really satisfying to see work out. Im suprised there was only 1 pipe you had to press right to go through, but im not sure if i would count it. I can see why you did, but its not like you had to press right to get past some insane section. It would be cool to see speedrunning categories of challenges like this so people are encouraged to play the game in multiple ways more. I wondered how you would even get past level 1 but congratulations 🙂

@@Ansel_G yeah i should know, I've had the world record on new super mario brothers 2 for 6 and a half consecutive years now. I've beaten the competition thousands of times and every time someone tried or got close to besting me i've demostrated again and again why i am the master of my sea and the one to call the shots. When people are lost on the levels they come to me, my friends called me the map because if it wasnt for me they never wouldve beaten super mario brothes 3 and 4. Honestly I'm just glad I can help and be of use when it comes to aiding in challenge runs and speedruns and helping newer gamers get the gears running when it comes to playing these difficult mario video games. I held the record on mario 64 for about 29,7 seconds before my arch nemesis, Berkley101, took it from me, he beat me by 4 seconds but he had to get only 17 stars and I had to get 30, after that, speedrunning mario 64 became more and more difficult so i quit while I was ahead and Berkley101 stopped too, all he wanted was to beat me so when I moved on to speedrunning new super mario bros wii I did a bait run, 34 minutes and 52 seconds. The only purpose of this bait run was to see what time Berkley101 would get... He got a 33:28, perfect, next time i speedran that game i managed to get a 28:41, completely crushing Berkley101's hopes and dreams and cementing myself as the ultimate gamer and video game warrior for all time. Until disaster struck when Berkley101's older brother came on the nintendo gamecube, his name was Berkley102........ He managed to steal my super mario sunshine world record that i had been holding onto for 5 years by using a new strategy he invented called the slide skip. I was devastated, shortly after I lost one of my longest standing world records I fell into a deep deep depression and got addicted to alcoholic beverages to help me numb the pain, but I found something, the more and more I drank, the faster I got at speedrunning super mario brothers 3, so I decided to take a crack at it and I ended up getting the first ever super mario drunk world record by getting a time of 9:11, the celebrations didn't last long tho, as Berkley102 was trying super hard to steal my super mario maker world record, but what he didnt know, was that the super mario maker world record is one that is heavily dependant on RNG, so I had gotten it on purpose to waste his time, and while he was trying day after day to steal my record, I managed to get back my super mario sunshine and super mario maker 2 world records by using this strategy called "splicing" it dances around the idea of managing to get the perfect times every time, as soon as I mess up, I would instantly restart the entire run from the start, calling it a splice, to get a new faster pace. Eventually, Berkley101 and Berkley102 stopped trying to defeat me, they realized I was the better person and the skilled gamer, so with that my battle was finished, I no longer had to try to fight anymore and when my records were broken again, I didn't feel the way I felt before... Seeing my records broken to other people not named Berkley or to me somehow gave me some internal peace, it was as if we were finally turning the page and allowing everyone else to take a crack at the mario world records and I think the Berkleys think something similar..
