If you have a big lead the AI opponents can hit insane speeds and corner at up to like 240 mph which is a real pain for speedtrap races as they can get really high scores even if you drive perfectly.

Hey Kuru! I have a challenge proposal for you. How about you beat Most Wanted with only the Blacklist Members' cars? No performance upgrades (if the car has upgrades, just stay it as it is), losing a race or getting busted will eliminate it, and you are not allowed to buy cars. You can add visual mods, body mods (especially the spoiler so you can tune aero), and junkman parts are allowed. You are allowed to use any car at the beginning of beating Sonny. Lastly, if you got the pink slip, the challenge will begin and if you lose all the Blacklist cars, the challenge is over.

I loved this game for the most part as a kid, though I always had the worst luck with glitches and just the worst hitbox detection ever. Especially those gas stations, always zooming in. Couldn't be more dead on center with the pumps, 300 mph *WHAM* Nothing happens as if it's a brick wall, I get locked in and die. Though I do remember one time I somehow got stuck inside those police SUVs after it died, and got to carry it around (from what I remember) without any performance loss and only being a little sketchy when cornering fast and it's frame scraped the ground. But it added it's weight to my car, so I just drove around for like 2 hours going on a police genocide. Trying so hard not to lose the cops many times as is tradition when you actually want a police chase in most wanted

In NFSU, NFS Underground Rivals, NFSU2, Carbon, ProStreet, Carbon OTC, Undercover, Shift and Shift 2: yes, even bodykits, roofscoops, hoods and etc are affecting car's characteristics (acceleration, max speed, handling). In NFSU2 and in ProStreet even selecting same level, but different tuning part manufacturers (e.g. different engine manufacturer, different brakes manufacturer and etc) are making difference. IDK about Most Wanted. Possibly selecting different bodykits also make a difference.

I'm pretty sure that they don't do anything noticeable other than unlocking certain characteristics for you to manually tune in the menu. Otherwise they're just cosmetics.

Im actually reached 5th in Black List on stock Cobalt only. It was so much random bullshit I have PTSD from it now. I don't think I can go futher though because you need to pass several tollbooths and it seems impossible to do on stock Cobalt. I tried hard, I drive from bumper view to get every possible km/h from trajectory and I don't know how to beat this shit.

I am currently doing a stock cobalt challenge and stuck at JV.but yeah what you says seems true and I had to retry many of the challenges lots of times, but in JV it gets even worse and I am about to give up, because there is just so many things that are supposed to all in place one by one to work, plus the cobalts slow acceleration doesn't really help

Beating the game with stock cars only is childsplay compared to what I am attempting. I am currently trying to get as far as possible using only the Chevy Cobalt SS you can buy at the start. No upgrades, of course. So far I took out 8 bosses. I am currently three races short of being able to challenge Kaze. Up until now there are just enough racing events so that you don't have to indulge in toll booth and drag races (apart from those against the bosses themselves, but they'll eventually crash and leave you with a win). To be honest, it's getting very luck-based at this point, but I think Kaze is still possible... after that one would need some advanced AI manipulation in order to progress. I actually thought you could make the AI scale down to your level somehow. Maybe that's actually the case, hadn't I won a Porsche Cayman S. Could be that I'm gonna reset in order to put that theory to the test.

Rookie mistake with the golf.Always use speedbreaker when ramming roadblocks it makes cars frontend heavier that way it doesn't go over the roadblock

I can't just buy a DVD because my PC doesn't have a disk drive, and there's no way I'm paying $160 for a copy of Carbon off of Amazon anyway.
