When I see the abilities I go "that's cool, but I'll never use it". That's actually why I enjoy these challenge videos, because they use the abilities or moves that I have no need to use. It just seems like too much "omg your ran from a shiny wtf is wrong with u" bait to believe its fully legitimate Plus there are literally action replay codes that force pokemon to appear in gen 5 on command with just a button press, aswell as codes that force a pokemon to be shiny with a button press. @Death-9992 жыл бұрын
@@darkflameofphonix4709 There's nothing to explore in legends arceus. The game is over hyped, other than catching pokemon there's nothing to do, no trainers, no gyms, it's literally just a "catch them all" game. It's great if you love shiny hunting or if you love repetitive check box ticking (perfecting each pokemon's pokedex page). The reason why so many people think it's the "greatest pokemon game ever" is because it fixes quite a few issues the series has had for a while, but the game is as bare bones as it gets. The game ends where it should just begin, throughout the game you're told people are too afraid to have pokemon because they know nothing about them, that's why there's no gyms and barely anyone battles with them, so when you've filled out the dex it should be when people start getting pokemon, it should be when gyms start opening up, but that just doesn't happen in the game...

I too remember the nimbasa ferris wheel for the amount of trouble I had on that N fight lol. Mostly because I kept trying to fight sigilyph with my servine.

I'm glad that you are also able to appreciate the glory that is gen 5, even if it had to be through sheer pain.

For the patches of grass, you can just walk one or two steps and save; slowly but surely, you will get through them without encounters (im in the middle of the video still 😅)

I really regret my first play of Gen 5 because I was a hardcore genwunner at the time. So it just kinda ruined it for me. This really was where these games peaked. Gen 1 was the one that started it all. Gen 3 is probably the most iconic. But _this_ is where the series really was at its best. These days, I love Gen 2 for the aesthetic. Johto is almost _offensively_ Japanese and the world building is top notch.

I know a lot of people really don't like Gen 5 but I though they were great especially Black and White 2. It was just a fun region great graphics and Pokemon they introduced were alright and I liked how they gave it a bit more story focus compared to other games.
@Death-9992 жыл бұрын
Do people still dislike it? I stopped playing after DP and I have a feeling if I did play BW I would have continued to be a pokemon fan. From what I've read most people disliked BW because they were forced to use all new pokemon. Since people have now gotten used to gen 5 pokemon they are no longer "new" pokemon to them, so that doesn't hold up.
@mjm30912 жыл бұрын
Literally no one ever. I don't know what people you are talking about. Gen 5 only had awful anime and people were bothered by some of the new Pokemon. That's literally it, games were loved from the start, due to one of the best storylines and development.
@kendra49322 жыл бұрын
That is not remotely true. I saw memes of people dunking on certain Pokémon designs HARD and calling the games stupid because of that when they came out. There were definitely haters, and they were usually genwunner types who would always use vanillish and trubbish as examples of bad/lazy designs to trash talk the games as being the beginning of the end for the Pokémon franchise. Which is dumb, those designs are perfectly fine. Plenty of simple/object Pokémon existed up to that point. People called gen 5 the worst gen pretty frequently on the meme sites I saw back then. You just got lucky and avoided it I guess lol

Pokemon black and white and their sequel are one of if not the best pokemon generation in my opinion. Everybody rants about how good DAP is but you never see someone talking about black and white. Yes some Pokemon designs aren't the best but come on! The overall game looks, feels and sounds phenomenal! It's such a shame that people dismissed this game because of some badly designed Pokemon man.

God it's so great to have someone comment on the presentation of the game in a video that's not about that. gen 5 has been my fave since it released and I vividly remember experiencing all of that for the first time. it was even more grand back when the graphics were also less aged. it's a beautiful game.

The best part is that he _doesn't_ specifically design his teams, he just catches some random Pokemon from the surrounding areas and then releases them after the battle's over. So you lost repeatedly... to random wild Pokemon. Good job!

Truant Durant with Entrainment would have been monstrous for this challenge since giving the opponent Truant cripples them completely, allowing for easy set-up. Entrainment can be obtained on a level 1 Durant through breeding since you can pass down level-up moves as egg moves if both parents know the move.
@Zorua32 жыл бұрын
Truant Durant would be near useless unless the AI decided to go for a status move, and iirc they’re programmed not to if they have an attack that will kill (not sure on that) so it would just get one shot before it could move. You’d have to use Quick Claw but then it’s a way more luck-dependent strat compared to all the strats PointCrow used.

Idk why Pokémon black gets so many crap reviews. When I played it as a kid I thought it was amazing. The mazes, animations, cities. The visuals. And more than anything, N, who finally addresses the question “are we abusing Pokémon by making them fight to their death?” LOL
@glass.hammer2 жыл бұрын
I just want you to know that I have now adopted quick claw destiny bond as a completely legitimate strategy. I went into the mt silver red fight with on average level 55 Pokémon. I got some amazing RNG to support otherwise barely functional strats-my lvl55 kadabra should not have been able to tank thunder from lvl81 pikachu-but by the time I was at red’s last mon, his blastoise, my only Pokémon with electric moves had been massacred. I couldn’t feasibly sack anyone to revive Jolteon or kadabra because they couldn’t tank blastoise’s surf after rain dance, and no one could make a dent without getting crushed. It was going to be an easy sweep, and that’s what the AI planned when I sent out a lvl50 Haunter at half health holding a quick claw. Kamikaze strats saved my fucking life.

I think this is my favorite video of yours I've seen. Those were some very clever strategies.
