Damn. I knew I wasn't crazy and evade QTE simply sometimes didn't work for some reason. Never experienced it in the base game. But what was in the base game is this situation with explosive barrel. Pretty sure you just shot at the edge of its comically large hitbox. Because I also did it with laser sighted pistol. So this is not some weird bullet spread.

Thank god, it’s not just me. Never had it happen once in the main story - it’s so weird. It felt as though it might be a distance thing, like if you weren’t far enough away from the attack. Who knows, just glad to know I’m not insane 💀 Lmao, the red barrel is definitely on me. You won’t know, but I did it again straight away on the next reset 😂

So you can either do a NG+ playthrough or if you want the hardcore way: - maximise upgrades to bowgun, bolt action, TMP (especially bolt action damage) - put all money towards rocket launchers for both U3 and Saddler - maximise resources for bow gun bolts - you can avoid a lot of enemies instead of taking unnecessary fights (ganados after you ring the bell won’t attack you) - spam grenades for the double Garrador fight for double damage whilst they’re chained up - use the window tech to beat the chainsaw duo in the abandoned factory. They won’t ever be able to catch you

That's really kind of you AJ. I'll record first, then depending on what absolute shithousery unfolds in the run I'll write a script that incorporates that. It usually takes me 2/3 days to record, 5-10 to write and then 2 weeks to edit (depending on how much I get distracted by TikTok)

I’m so glad I wasn’t the only one suffering. Those QTEs are definitely broken. I think you’re right - s in some of the newer RE’s are non existent, so I’m guessing if an enemy attack has damage values as soon as they start the animation - if you don’t hit that QTE frame perfect you’re taking damage… which on a no damage run is a recipe for an aneurysm 💀

13:25 not only in separate ways but in the main game, Master Reset the other dude that makes challenges of Re4 also complains of that, even if you click the button there's 4 things that can happen. 1. You don't take damage. 2. You dodge but somehow still takes damage. 3. The game doesn't accept the prompt and you take damage. 4. the game doesn't accept the prompt but you somehow don't take any damage. I know that cuz when I finally got my hands on this game I complained a lot about that + other poorly made game mechanics on this game.
