It's just the feeling of reviving someone I just killed with my dagger and forcing them to fight their friends to the death. And if they succeed, then they're just going to be my minion until they die or my spell wears off. Unless I'm using Dead Thrall. Then they'll have to die. I mean, I killed the Ebony Warrior, giving him the legendary death he wanted. And then revived him and forced him to fight for me. I've downloaded mods to make necromancy even better. I want an army! All of my enemies that fall to me and my minions shall join the ranks, killing more and more, which makes me ever stronger! The world shall bow down to my power! **Enter maniacal laughter here** ... I haven't seen anyone else mention this, you can trigger runes by hitting them with any non-rune spell projectile, such as turn undead, which is still restoration.

I love using runes and I believe you can set them off by casting a projectile spell (like sun fire or perhaps turn undead) at them, meaning that last poison rune could've possibly been the killing blow.

Sun Fire, Stendarr's Aura, and Vampire's Bane are damaging Restoration spells from Dawnguard. Also Circle of Protection damages and is Restoration. But yes Poison Rune is only damaging Restoration spell other then undead. Also best Race combination for Restoration is Imperial Vampire Lord with Necromage Perk. Additionally I would count Dawnbreaker as fair play for Restoration playthrough when necessary to damage enemies. Also Ahzidol's Gear would be helpful and fair play.

I've got a challenge that may actually be difficult for you and who knows, it may provide a little bit of fun...You cannot buy or trade any items unless Todd has decided it is required to complete a quest. If you open an inventory (chest, dead body, pickpocketing, etc) and your inventory changes for any reason (more or less items) then you must swap ALL of your items for theirs, unless Todd has decided you cannot swap a given item. The swapping process does include all weapons, armor, books, food, etc. You are allowed to break the swapping rule if you die in the process of swapping or you are caught while pickpocketing. One final word...lying, cheating and stealing are allowed...Well, not so much the cheating.

Both party snacks and hermy can improve unrelenting force, but I think hermy gives the disintegration one.

I personally use apocalypse magic of skyrim and ordinator perk overhaul a pure restoration build is VERY possible with that (and as another comment mentioned, dawnguard adds restoration spells that are like the destruction spells but are classed as restoration.) Correction: the sunspells deal damage EXCLUSIVLY to undead.

There actually is another damaging spell for restoration! It only works on undead, but it'd be excellent for all the draugr you fight. It's called Sun Fire, and you join the dawnguard and complete the quest "A New Order". Then buy the tome from Sorine Jurard
