The reason those pumpkin ghosts seem so sketchy to homing attack off of is actually because of their long spawn animation. You can't lock onto them until that animation finishes. So you just have to stall in the air briefly after each homing attack and you should get through it consistently.

Loved this video, and I love this series. I dread the day you run out of Sonic games to do ringless runs of. And I think I commented this before on another one of your videos, but I still really don't think that rings that are collected before you have control of the characters should count. At that point, they aren't rings you collected, they're rings you arbitrarily start the level with. Not that it really matters all that much since each team seemed to collect plenty of other rings anyway, but still.

yessss ive been waiting! i also dont think that rings youre forced to start the level with count as rings collected, as most of us seem to agree is the case. i also think the discrepancies of the levels between the different teams is interesting; adds a bit of spice and variety to what otherwise would just be the same thing with different skins, but i imagine it was absolutely horrible to have to navigate around for this challenge LOL looking forwards to the next vid jakku! >:)

I agree honestly, to be honest I thought going in maybe heroes wouldn't have that many mandatory rings, it's by far the worst in that regard. XD Oh for sure, more than anything it just left me confused. Like some of the alterations I noticed and just had to sit there asking why they even bothered. 🤣 Thank you so much mate. So by these rules, explains why Amy still pursues Sonic even though her route is impossible Ringless. Because Team Sonic had to collect a bunch of rings at bullet station. Explains why Amy chases Sonic down at the end of team Sonic's ending. As for Tails well... Looks like he's going down to the altar with cream. Knuckles, well.... Have fun with rouge sticking around~

I'm honestly not surprise by the conclusion. I should know; I've played this game many times... from the PS2 version. Even past its NUMEROUS glitches and bugs and jank, I still think Sonic Heroes is fantastic. I'm glad we did get this game, it has many elements I liked and DIDN'T like. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought the levels are a breathe of fresh air. Compare it to Forces, yes, these are better levels. And I didn't mind the fighting of the game... when it worked. Plus the story wasn't so bad. Wish it was done a BIT better, especially for the true ending. Anyway maybe Team Chaotix you'll- oh no wait, there's one mission that makes it near impossible. Fantastic video!

When I was a kid, I would actually cheese the final fortress laser with flight formation as well. I felt like a bad ass when I was finally able to do it in speed formation by holding down the b button.
