Can You Beat The Escapists 2 Without Gaining Heat?

Many have noticed I did gain heat at the end of Rattlesnake Springs which I missed! I have attempted the prison again as well as correcting other mistakes in a separate video, which is linked in the description!

This run is actually invalidated immediately by Rattlesnake Springs, as your character is exposed to the sun, therefore heating him up and losing the challenge.

In Rattlesnake you got 30 heat from the snipers at the end, though I doubt there's much that could have been done about that one Great video overall!

Alternatively, use the speedrun strategy. Reset until you have an iron bar in either your desk or cellmate's desk. Then rush the lowest point of 2nd floor (right above the main entrance). Use the iron bar to break a wall and just walk out. Snipers won't give heat, and you will usually escape before roll call is even over.

Alright, I managed to do it. I used the speed run strategy at night, Bed dummy enabled. Just simply cut through at lights out and avoided all heat!

Another way you can get the key in HMP offshore without getting heat is friending someone and making them beat up the guard for you

Sometimes the other prisoners will naturally fight the guards, so I believe it could be possible for them to knock out the red key guard.

as others have said you gained heat at 9:54 but the way to circumvent that is to just go when snipers are gone so it should be considered kinda beat because if you do it again you would only be wasting your time because it is possible

Doing the elaborate special escapes instead of perimeter breakouts was a lot more fun for me when I played.

It’s lame as hell. The first escapist required strategy, creativity, and each escape was different, you could go talk to ur homie about what ur favorite way to escape is. Escapist 2 is just resetting each day to get the “special” items to escape. It’s just desk farming than a cutscene. 0 creativity, 0 way to escape how YOU want. 0 planning required, just going through the days searching desks until you find the 3-4 special items needed and escape on the spot. Incredibly disappointing

The special escapes are quite fun. They are usually much simpler to do than a perimeter breakout but I enjoy how a lot of them involve taking advantage of h the area the prison is located in. Such as riding a dolphin to escape a prison in the middle of an ocean or disguising as a human to escape an alien research facility. It’s fun planning out a perimeter breakout but it’s a nice change of pace to do a more gimmicky escape.

@@Sh4dow15 that’s why the DLC maps are a nice mix up. But completely removing player freedom and forcing desk farming for specific items was never the fun part of the dlcs. Some variety is good, but for me they lost the plot on what made the original game fun

You could skip rattlesnake springs by grabbing a iron bar then going to the second floor making a hole in the wall then escaped

In Rattlesnake you can escape with an iron bar after the first roll call, though for 0 heat, maybe be safe and do it a free time

Nope. It still maxes out guard heat. I assume it registers as you attacking a guard which gives the heat, but the damage you do is extremely high which knocks them out
