The crowd doesn't know, or care-it's the cork sniffers in the band that are the issue. As long as it sounds good, and plays/STAYS in tune, that's ALL that matters. The only exception to this I can think of is heat-outdoors in the summer, or big stages with followspots that will make the neck flex, and this isn't limited to cheap guitars, either-ask Steve Morse about the Frankentele. There is a video here on YT of a SMB show from 1990 (with Jerry Peek on bass) with him fighting to keep it in tune because of the heat from the lights. I ALWAYS bring a cheesy import Strat to an audition, with a "real" (US made) Strat that doesn't come out of the case as a "spare". How they act about the crappy guitar (which I prefer anyway) depends on whether or not I take the gig. MANY fail, usually with someone telling me that they have 5 or 6 2500 dollar instruments. And it's usually the player in the band that sucks the most. I personally enjoy watching someone play the snot out of a POS guitar-it's LIBERATING.

At one time, I would not have believed that you could take a fresh-bought guitar right onstage without a setup. Now, having seen this video and after my own experiences with a couple of guitars I bought new, I see that it's possible. My 2 Donners are real killers that were worth playing on arrival. Could they play better with a setup? For sure! But some cheap guitars you can rock on arrival!💯‼️🤘😎

Honestly, wtf is the point of expensive high end shyt if you can do this with a $150 Amazon guitar? Seriously wtf is even the point of any of this KZbin guitar gear community? That thing sounded perfectly fine. He sounded and play like any other talented musician out there playing gigs. I’m not trying to diminish his skills or anything when I say that. Bro is a great player but that sounded professional it didn’t sound like the crappy sears roebuck guitars like it’s supposed to. That was legit sounding. To me a budget guitar was a MIM Strat but those are like 4x what that measly fesley was. Fuck it I’m just putting my money into amps and effects from now on. 😂😂😂

@@TreyShreddingsAfter Sean upgraded & set up the Fojill, that one should be a slam dunk for live & even studio performances. I think if the Fesley wasn't cutting it, a fail, it would've been unplugged and swapped before it ruined your night & band's reputation. Being Tortuga's in Flagler Beach, FL, the Fesl;ey passes the beach & outdoor live performance test for "one night, one show", long term update(s) would be cool to see.
