I love videos like this, where you clearly explain what is happening. This is great for beginners like me.

Here from Mahone, really happy someone tried this idea with the Pokemon TCG! I've seen it done with the Yugioh TCG through RevzCards, but never with PTCG, hope you guys keep this up whenever a new set releases!

I like this. My wife and I play but we don't order singles. So we build from packs mainly. Shows it can be done for casual play

We’re doing this right now! It was great to see how you built your decks using cards from a single booster box. 😃

Very cool idea. Building with what you have is very much a way of deck-building and a mentality so many players still have at local levels! So way to use your noggins putting together the Alcremie decks. *applause*

This is exactly how I have always built my decks, only last year did I start ordering singles. It honestly feels kind of soulless to do something like that but I understand it's a money saver in the long run. Still, nothing gets me and my boys more excited for pokemon than cracking open booster packs and building decks from scratch from 1-2 expansions.

Sealed formats are always loads of fun. I remember some of my fondest Magic memories being from Draft nights at my local game store. Keep up the awesome videos!
@Matti_Mattsen Жыл бұрын
i've been doing this format in magic with friends for a while. Share a booster box, each gets 9 boosters. Build a deck from that and ONLY from that. When the next set releases, we do the same, but add the cards to our card pool and use that to build our next decks. So with each set our card pool gets bigger, but we still can only use cards from these boosters, no online shopping, no meta chasing, the size of your wallet doesn't matter. Its been the most fun i've had with magic since i started playing in 1997

This was awesome editing Chip. I watch Andrew's tabletop content all the time he's amazing, but something about this video just hits different. Keep up the amazing work brother!

I love this. I had the same idea about getting a box and making a deck with what you pulled. Also this helps me try to relearn how to play again. Great video guys.

We had something similar to this around November to the end of 2021 in Indonesia. It's a sealed tournament and we had to build a deck with 15 booster packs (an Indonesian booster box has 20 packs, and a pack contains 5 cards so we had 15x5=75 cards to build with). The prize was an alternate art of a Eeveelution Vmax (that can't be found from a booster box) and we get a random V union card as participation prize.

Should do a “Progression series” type of thing. Each person opens a booster box worth the latest set and builds a deck. Decks get better and better each set you open adding to and upgrading your decks.

Nice! Next task: open packs without looking on the cards, until you got 60 cards, shuffle them and start playing. Its called " random format " lol

No you can’t and it’s so sad to be at a card shop and see people spend 100$ on booster boxes that is literally bulk . I don’t understand the Pokémon community and their obsession with opening packs. I don’t see this with any other community and I play vanguard , yugioh and my friends play magic and it’s just Pokémon community that blow their money and somehow pulling a regular 2$ v is HYPE! Hahahaha

But they just did it, and I had a lot of fun watching it. And at the end of the day hobbies cost money, including all the mentioned tcg’s! Yugioh and magic is the worst of them all, meta decks are stupid expensive!
