So anyone can create their own Qur'an recitation or version today? Would it be canonical? How did they decide which ones were canonical?

The local person with the most power at the time decided what was authentic. Islam is a religion based on authority by might.

😂😂😂😱 "A little bit of Warsh, A little of bit of Kalun, with a just a tiny but of Hars and voila..."I have created a new qiraat called...the Islamabad edition. Quote from Dr. J.Smith
@jxcess38913 жыл бұрын
The donkey called farida is a charlatan. The differences in the qiraats are not merely recital. For example, the sura 37.12 has a difference in meaning in some of the ko-oorans. The hafs version is different in meaning from the khalaf version. www.nquran.com/ar/ayacompare/?sora=37&aya=12 Hafs says "you (muhummud) wonder", while khalaf version says "I (allah) wonder". Which is the correct quran? The famous librarian, al-Nadim, in the year 375 A.H./987 A.D. records that Abdullah ibn Mas'ud's version of the Qur'an had 110-112 suras while Ubayy ibn Ka'b's collection had 116, that these collections had a different ordering of the suras and that there were variants in the verses. See, Al-Nadim, The Fihrist of al-Nadim - A Tenth Century survey of Muslim Culture, New York: Columbia University Press, pp. pp. 58-61 and 79. And these different versions of the Qur'an were used by the early Islamic scholars. For example, when Al-Tabari (d. 310 AH/923 AD) quotes the Qur'an in his writings, he not only quotes from Uthman's version but also from Abdullah ibn Mas'ud's version. See, The History of Al-Tabari, SUNY, vol. I, p. 353, vol. II, pp. 68, 108, 109, vol. III, p. 174. Arthur Jeffery (Materials for the History of the Text of the Qur'an) surveyed these Islamic scholars and identified 15 primary different collections of the Qur'an with a whole range of variants. In the 1980's many ancient Qur'ans were discovered in San`a'. Some of these have the sura order that was credited to Abdullah ibn Masud and others. (Gerd-R Puin, Observations on the Early Qur'an Manuscripts in San`a'. In "The Qur'an as Text", ed. Stefan Wild, Leiden: Brill, 1996. pp. 110-111)

@retrictumrectus10103 жыл бұрын
From what I understood, Farid wanted to say that you cannot make up your own original recitation but you can combine the bits and pieces of approved recitations. If this is music, he is basically saying that making new original music is not allowed and only existing music shall be sang, but mash-ups are allowable. But mash-ups basically butcher both recitations, a deviant recitation. It is basically a separate recitation.

In al-Fatihah we can recite maliki yaumiddin (king of the day of Judgement) or maaliki yaumiddin (Owner of the Day of Judgement). both are accepted and approved by Rasulullah. And there are many more in the Quran. Muslims should know this.

HAHHAA good try. But, Farid say you can combine Hafs and Warsh since both are canonical thats not controversy to the Muslim. This video shows how desperate anti-Muslim to stop Islam Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala said: هُوَ الَّذِىٓ أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُۥ بِالْهُدٰى وَدِينِ الْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُۥ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِۦ ۚ وَكَفٰى بِاللَّهِ شَهِيدًا "It is He who sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to manifest it over all religion. And sufficient is Allah as Witness." (Qur'an surah Al-Fath 48: Verse 28)
@farhanf37323 жыл бұрын
@mysotiras5 There are seven mutawattir recitation to read the Qur'an. Muslim agree on this, if you cant understand at least dont lie. Furthermore, since Hafs,Warsh, and other five are both connected to the Prophet Muhammad shallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam so Muslim can combine those qiraat thats not controversy among the Muslim. The problem with someone like you is think that different qiraat is like corruption of the Bible, thats just make Muslim (even a layman) laugh at you Regarding 'change meaning' oo come on thats not change it corroborate and all of them go back to Prophet Muhammad shallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam For example Walahum 'adzaabun aliimun bimaa kaanuu yakdzibuun (Hafs) (for them the great punishment because they lie) Walahum 'adzaabun aliimun bimaa kaanuu yukadzdzibuun (Warsh) (for them great punishment because the accuse other to lie) Conclusion: great punishment is given to them not only they used to lie but also they accuse other to lie
