Great engine,the LT 1 was the last evolution of the small block chevy,and I liked the cam drive water pump and optispark.As well as the internal upgrades made it a fitting farewell.

I wouldn't daily drive this because id be too edgy. Someone got too close id lose it on them. Great video with lots of truth. Unless my commute was less than a mile from my house its not an option.

You should check my Lambo the TS 140 at my sight, 20 years, 3 Rd motor, second set of tires, second paint job, but my own design work on the body and interior, and better exhaust, yes I drove it a lot. Looking good!

Anyone looking to make their own Lamborghini Countach car I’ve decided to sell mine it was meant for a Fiero stretched donor car but I purchased the ultimate chassis factory five gtm That I planned on modifying to fit the Countach fiberglass body will sell as a package or separate, I have some OEM lambo parts and nice rims as seen in one of my short videos.

Would a Countach replica, even with a custom frame like yours, be relatively safe at 100 mile/p/h? Any ideas on which company currently makes a custom frame for a Countach apart from Prova? I previously modified a frame from a fiero for a f-355, but to be honest, it didn't feel that rigid with 3.8 Chevy ( I had a kit for the engine install ) . Drive yes, hard cornering ?

It's a KMC Kustom motor cars. The old Prova's were good the new company I haven't seen anything products form them and it looks like it's not a true representation but it can be made to be.

It's not a corvette engine. It has the intake and injection system, but it looks like an old ls1 engine you have in the old caprice square body police car. (Unless it's a C4 engine)

Your kit car looks nice, but is hardly a replica of the real car, at least in the true definition of the word, in that your car is more an inaccurate copy of the original. The drivetrain in the countach is a beautiful integration of the transmission, v12 engine, and rear differential. The tubular space frame chassis was so robust that the test driver rolled it over 100 mph and walked away from it. In a 30 mph barrier crash test, the A-pillar hardly moved! Essentially, your ‘replica’ is a parts car with a myriad of various components assembled together to make copy that resembles he original in appearance, but far from the function and durability, and crashworthiness of the original vehicle. That is why the idea of driving such a vehicle on a daily basis is as much a pipe dream as the thought that kit car is a ‘replica’ of the real thing!

This replica was built in 2002, today this same builders and fabricators of kit cars are now recruited to make parts for the original. With that we are building more and more authentic cars. But its also driving the cost of the cars up. Idea behind this car was to achieve a good replica that can be used and repaired without the burden of an exotic cars supply chain issues or labour rates. For this car the missions accomplished. When I bought it plan was to swap a v12 into it. After 12 years I've learned if it's not broke don't fix it. Enjoy it for what it is.

The myriad of problems you have with mis-fitting door seals, gaps between mating panels, doors that don’t maintain set positions is due to the weak tube chassis and hand laid fiberglass body of your vehicle whereas the original has a tubular space frame designed to meet North American federal motor vehicle standards for barrier crash and side door intrusion that existed at the time of manufacture. Keep in mind that the countach sold for well over 100k in the eighties and the clientele expected a vehicle of high performance and comparable quality. In his video channel, Jay Leno lays claim that his countach was a daily driver for the first 10 years of his television career. The problem is that kit cars simply are not well engineered, if at all, as compared to vehicles which are engineered for mass production. Even my 1995 Corvette Z07 whiched I used as a daily driver for 10 years has none of the problems your vehicle has even though my corvette has an smc body on a steel frame

Most of them have there flaws, my interior and engine certainly are not close reproductions. Working on it. I always liked IFG's 25th and thought is was well done by them. Never saw one but it had many articles in the magazines back in the day. Congrads let's stay in touch.
