They are still out there. I paid 6k for my 1968. A guy that bought it wanted to get his money back out of it. I had also tried throwing a lot more money at others and was turned down. I got lucky!

Ford should have made the new bronco look like the old bronco. They would sell like hotcakes.

Btw, the fixing might be more fun than the driving 😎👌

Not more fun, but definitely wrenching and driving are favorites

I bought a 72 in 2018 for $1400, not running since 2008 and needed everything but complete with minimal rust in the Front floors, front inner fenders and one inner rocker had a soft spot. The owner was in prison and his sketchy family was happy to take my cash 😂

I'm About 85% through a complete restoration. Parts and materials around 90K so it was a good thing that I got it so cheap. 😬

What if you find one that has a fiberglass body kit that has not started but all parts are included? I dont hear anything on Fiberglass body kits so I assume no one likes them.

Fiberglass looks good, but it’s very good for resale

The market determines the overall price point. Meccum and bring a trailer the last 6 months have shown bronco values have taken a hit.

We have two Broncos , one is 1970 351 Cleveland 4 speed factory PTO winch roll cage no rust, new clutch. The 1979 XLT Ranger 351 m, captain chairs swing out tire rack , factory roll cage, duel tanks, tow package, Built for the forest service. both have new tires , new windshields. The 79 has 68.600 original miles original paint perfect zero rust so is the inside perfect like new . The 70 my man built it in High school in 1976 he was 17 years old, engine is out of a wrecked Cougar Eliminator, he worked part time for a tow service and had access to many parts in the tow yard , both live in are barn..?

Thanks guys for the great video. I feel so much better about the 72' Bronco I bought for $30k. Running, drives down the road 60MPH, doors don't drop, power brakes, 4 wheel disc brakes, patina original Mallard Green. Keep up the great work in educating us.😊

Thanks guys! Just bought a ‘72 for $35k. This episode made me feel pretty good about that price. PS, PB, AT, rebuilt 302 w/22k mi, Dana 44 LS, soft top. New Discs up front. Was driving it that day after a battery and rubber fuel line. Won’t bore you with what I paid back in high school for my first cherry uncut rig. Hurts too much anyhow. Cheers!

I got lucky, bought mine sight unseen, guy meet me at the St. Louis airport, gave me the keys and I drove it from MO to ME at Highway speed. Haven’t had any issues in 10+ years. Best $12K I ever spent!

I drive it daily. I’m in AZ now, so any rust has halted. Love driving this thing, wife hates it. 😁
