I did not believe you (the pronunciation, obviously AC/DC is Australian), as AC/DC are also the two terms of electricidal currents, which is what I thought AC/DC was named after, so I looked it up... I believe you now, but I came across this little tidbit, and I don't know if I should laugh or roll my eyes: "Saying 'AC/DC' is not acceptable in polite company, as AC/DC also means that someone is bisexual, so most polite fans usually refer to the band as 'Acca Dacca.'"
