Can you finish Terraria using Boss Loot Only? - Terraria 1.4.3

Bosses are what makes this game so unique. Now imagine a run where I can only use the loot acquired from bosses. Not only the weapons, but also the accessories, the armor pieces, the mounts and the grapling hooks have to be dropped from a boss.

Technically speaking, you could go full summoner, as the spooky armour is made from spooky wood, which drops from Mourning Wood. Necromantic Scroll also drops from Mourning Wood, giving you an extra minion slot. Couple that with the terraprisma and kaleidoscope from EoL, and you have a killer summoner loadout.

Its funny how good the Bone Helm is in Terraria, its usually past an endgame boss in DST which allows you to go insane (nightmare creatures spawn, no Gestalts on Lunar Island, and different bunnies) but with the Bone Helm the Nightmare Creatures are neutral to you

I liked how this turned out to be a sort of combination summoner and ranged run. You can really get a lot of mileage out of hallowed armor all the way to the end of hardmode.

@@noahhughes3263 Yea every post ML armor would be unusable. You'd have to do the GP "crafting only" solution and use valhalla knight for all of post ML

A fun playthrough you could do that I've done before is a no crafting run, i.e. The crafting menu and all crafting stations are banned. It is super fun because armor/ tool progression completely changes, npc housing suddenly becomes a challenge to make and you are reliant on loot and npc shops for everything and you can't combine accessories anymore

This was my favorite challenge you’ve done yet! I love the challenges that require out of the box thinking to complete. And I think it’d be awesome if you did the same thing but with only using event loot, like invasions, blood moons, eclipses, etc. Keep up the awesome work man

A cool trick I found: if you place a cannon facing up on a platform around 20 blocks above the ground and spam cannon balls, you can cheese the Devourer while just needing to dodge a little. Only works when you have 150 or more cannonballs and beware of the drones.

Interesting to see another KZbinr do this challenge, quite a few differences in how we each approached it. I’ll admit it felt a little cheaty to use silt to kill the EoW, and using minecarts so much kinda negated any movement challenges you may have faced. I found it quite a fun challenge to use the slimy saddle against the EoC and the queen bee mount against the queen slime, probably two of my favourite terraria moments. Overall a really enjoyable video, looking forward to the next one

Did you intentionally not allow the miniboss/boss drops from events, like pumpkin moons mourning wood, which would give spooky wood for spooky armour, making the terraprisma better? Or some other weapon like the blizzard staff from ice queen. Is this because the event bosses aren't actually bosses, or because you just didn't want to use them? Genuinely interested as it would've made the run easier with them.
