Video games are played on ....... (amongst others)? The term started in the mid 70s, used in DnD board games. It then became widely used in computer games, well before the days of consoles. So to make it easy for people to understand, I made the association "with computing". If I simply put NPC, it could stand for North Pacific Church. Or anything, really, starting with those initials.
