sperm can live up to 5 days. But that one dose should cover you for those days. If you have unprotected sex again, you might want to take ANOTHER round of emergency contraception. |You CAN take emergency contraception as many times are you need to NOT just once a cycle. HOWEVER, if you find yourself doing that, then you should consider using a BETTER form of birth control like the IUD with hormone, implant, shot, ring, patch, pill, condoms!

If you bleed, full on period, 3 days after having sex, most likely you won't get pregnant. Again, anything is possible. but I'd say VERY unlikely b/c the lining of your uterus is shedding at that point.

The sooner you take it the better. It depends on if you used Ella or Plan B and its generics. It depends how close to ovulation you were.

I had my period for all three pregnancies the first month. That’s why I never thought I was pregnant until my nipples were HUGE a few days after my period end I knew something was off. I’ve had my period since I was 9 years old and never had ANY inconsistency at all. I always bleed extremely heavy and for 5-7 days straight! Ana !! Definitely wasn’t implantation bleeding! Implantation bleeding isn’t heavy blood flow, changing pads periodically because they are soaked.... however, I did have that after I confirmed I had was pregnant. My nipples were always the give away for me. I’m on my fourth pregnancy (but third baby) and the exact same thing happened and it’s been four years since my last child was born! My doctor has been playing the due date game once again for this pregnancy because I was pregnant on my Period and had NO clue... good thing my best friend made me bet and take a test after my period because I wouldn’t have. 😬 I just knew I wasn’t 😂 well... I was wrong!

My period lasted couple days, my period is never heavy.. and lasts about 3 days... but this month it started early... right on the 1st... and the 5th day I had light spotting? It was weird cause my period had ended already, but I just seen it as maybe that’s just left over period blood? Idk lol .. and every month, I know when my body is ovulating... So I had sex with my husband and took morning after pill, however forgot to take the other pill. As far as I knew I was safe. I got my period as normal that month and it was heavy ( I mean pouring) . Very normal to me. Fast forward to 2 months , I had no periods. This didn’t bother me because I have mad irregular periods. Then boom 💥 I was pregnant 🤰. Like she said anything is possible.
