I have a very serious question about receiving possible unemployment benefits. I and my two children immigrated to this country (into California) and arrived on February 7, 2020. I arrived on a CR1 visa and joined my husband here at that time. I completed the necessary paperwork and received my Social Security card along with my green card many months later due to Homeland Security paperwork holdups, etc. I have been able to work for the last two months now after having received my green card and I cannot seem to find a job anywhere. I need to have some income coming in and I wondered if I would qualify for unemployment benefits under this kind of a situation. I am able to work, I am ready to work, but I cannot find any work, so should I give up or will I get some kind of unemployment relief even though I have never had a job in the United States due to the circumstances I list above? My husband lost his Job due to coronavirus and is currently on unemployment. I didn’t receive my green card until August 28, 2020 and I have been trying nonstop to find work only to be turned away each time. I have a masters degree in Vietnam and was gainfully employed there for many years, but it has been very difficult to find work here in the United States even with a good resume and cover letter working with the websites like Indeed, CareerBuilder and Monster. We are running short of money now and we need some relief. Could you offer any advice or suggestions as to whether I would qualify for the unemployment program? I would appreciate any response knowing full well that you cannot commit to anything since you do not work for the EDD. Thank you for your time.

Does Daca qualify for unemployment ? Will it affect for future adjustment ? And will we also get the extra money other than the regular unemployment since the extra is federal? My boss want me to file for it but im worried and dont know if I would even get them 600extra and if I did it would hurt me in the future?

Im an American citizen and my wife is Japanese. We The got married November 2019. We applied for green card in Feb 2020. She has been in America on an E2 visa since 2017. Her employer recently laid everyone off due to corona virus. Under the new rules of Cares act... Can she get unemployment in Nevada? You spoke of work permit but never specifically said visa or e2 visa ect. Thank you for any help in our time of need sir.
