Based on this video, I recently bought a 2020 Ridgeline, a Step Ramp, and a MotoGate to take my 6 y.o. son and myself dirt biking. He has a CRF50F and I have a CRF250F and both bikes fit great! We’re both new to dirt bikes and have been riding for a little more than 1 year. Thank you for making this video - super helpful. Now we have a trailer-free option to go ride.

Thank you for filming this. I was on the fence of getting a full size truck but I really like the practicality of these ridgelines. I too have 2 kids that ride little pit bikes. Very nice truck with a quiver of bikes to go along with it!!

Pro taper straps work great for my Harley also! Best straps on the market, everything about them straps is good, they don’t twist up an hold very well

Crucial video. Considering trading my f150 for one of these. The bed size worried me but you just answered my question

Thanks for doing this video. I am looking at buying a Ridgeline and I ride/carry a KTM 250 dirtibike. Have been wondering what that would look like. I also have a dream to possibly haul a bike and have a tent/cover or something to camp in (truck bed camp). Still need a full concept to see if that will all work :)

Fresh exterior Ridgeline is gorgeous. Wish they’d put a real shifter, updated infotainment and dash console, then put a timing chain instead of timing belt. Cost about $2k to do the required timing belt at 100k miles. ☠️ Bikes are gorgeous. That’s why I’m really here haha.

That 2k would probably be if you do water pump and valve adjustment. Sucks they use a timing belt in them though. But everything’s got issues. Not as serious but 5.7 hemis still break exhaust manifold studs at like 50k and that alone can be over 1k to fix.

QUESTION: when I leave pickup door open of my RTL 2021, for carrying my dirtbikes, the display of cockpit pops up an "ï" warning that rear door is open accompanied by a periodical beep, and cabin lights remains on. How do I disable this warning?, did it happen same to you?. In my case warning pop up shows that both pick up door and rear door of driver side are open, (no matter I check rear cabin door is correctly closed).

Are you referring to the tailgate? Rear cabin door? Storage trunk lid? If you are referring to the tailgate, you are opening it downward not sideways right?

@@akmoto_ Sorry for my english, I am writing from Chile-South America. I am referring to tailgate, to carry my dirt-bikes on my Ridgeline 2021 I leave tailgate open in horizontal position, what means getting a warning in panel that tailgate is open, (and also shows/warns that one rear cabin door is open), a periodical beep, and also lights inside cabin remains on. Did it happen same to anyone of you?, is there a way to disable this warning?, (by means of any configuration?, or installing any hardware?). In my Ridgeline 2014 I do not have this problem/behavior.

FMF works pipe, shorty silencer, an vforce 4r reed cage, that’s all that bike would ever need, no need to do heavy mods!
@akmoto_
@akmoto_ 3 жыл бұрын
I don’t recommend getting an FMF myself, they have fitment issues for the newer YZ125’s. I and many other people have experienced it. I recommend a PC pipe if any.

Try to run non ethanol fuel 90 octane and higher. Allways use good premix like klotz or honda hp2. (Klotz smells really good). And buy alot of air filters clean and change them on the regular. Now for upgrades get a good set of pipes and a set of vforce 3 reeds (might have to re jet it) and then your yz125 will be a little screamer. You can also run vp gas if you can afford it and that will help maintain good hp and its good fuel for your engine.

@@akmoto_ I’ve never once had a fitment issue, an I got four yz125’s all different years, 06,12,18&20. All have the same thing and r really crisp, we run pro circuit on our superminis an 85’s tho! It’s honestly a preference thing, an I’ll agree with u that pro circuit makes the yamaha sound like a 134 cuz my son races against a few that has pro circuit! An they really bark!!

Do you know the weight limit for the tailgate?
@akmoto_
@akmoto_ 2 жыл бұрын
Honda says 300 pounds while driving. Loading two full sized dirtbikes can near the upper limit, but Honda shows 2 bikes loaded up in the truck in their commercials so I’m sure it’s more than fine, otherwise they wouldn’t advertise it as so.

@@akmoto_ I appreciate the quick response. Got it. I plan on loading one but it's a heavier sportbike almost 500 lbs. Also I plan on riding it up so when I'm on it I wonder if that'll be too much.
@alphawolfadventures1470
@alphawolfadventures1470 2 жыл бұрын
@@R1Ammar it’ll be fine when you think about it only the tire is on the tailgate. Majority of the weight (engine) is in bed. Even if your bike is 500lbs and 20% is on tailgate then that’s only 100lbs and I bet it’s even less because as said most weight is toward front mid due to the engine
