Yeah, because doing work for people for free is a good way to pay your bills and put food on your table. No; no it doesn't. Although usually it's the person for whom you are doing work that wants you to do this, that, and the other thing, above what you've contracted to do. It's a little unusual for a neighbor or a friend to hit you up with "hey, since so-and-so is paying you to do work, can you do this thing for me for free?" And no, it never leads to a new client or customer. They go somewhere else to have somebody else do free or discounted work for them. Hell, even my chiropractor did that to me.

@@vickileonard72 to me, it’s a labor of luv. For example, i would prefer a handwritten sentiment over a typed letter. For me, it’s not backbreaking work (although it is a lot more work) but i appreciate the effort and time because it’s more personal and meaningful work. It negates from power tools and machines that, to me, are less authentic. In other words, I don’t know about u but i love a hand-crafted sandwich made with love and style over a god-forsaken standardized slap together. Hopefully u can understand.

I do enjoy watching landscaping videos where the work is mainly done mostly using smaller equipment like push mowers, weed eating, and leaf blowers. I used to work at Omni Tucson National on the Catalina Golf Course where the Cologard Classic PGA is held. Nothing better than busting ass to do hand cutting, mowing, etc, and getting to see the joy it brings to members when they would golf.

Beautiful job pruning back the overgrown and leggy rhododendron hedge! It looks so much nicer after your skillful pruning work, I am sure once the new growth flushed out next spring, it will look even nicer! As for the mats of ivy vines on the neighbor’s flat garage roof, what a job that was to remove. Per usual, you did an amazing job! I have removed similar mats of ivy vines myself over the years, always challenging. You also did a masterful job of cutting back the vines growing up the garage walls, and the woody stems you cut back as well! I am sure the homeowners will be delighted with the beautiful results!!! Your talents as a skilled pruning professional are seemingly without limit! That’s what makes watching your videos so enjoyable! You are doing an Incredible job with your numerous pruning projects. I like that doing some good work gave a neighbor hope and led to more work. So, 4 meters is about 13 feet tall and 1.5 meters will be about 5 feet tall. The reduction in size of the hedge is looking nice. The hedge looks to be planted in a raised area. The finished work opened the home to more of a view and sunlight. Have seen the roll technique in a tropical place like Vietnam, where vines can really make carpets on roofs. Nice work. The roof will be much better off with less weight, moss and moisture on it.

Wow! That was a work out! You really looked tired after the hedge and raking and dragging ALL that heavy stuff into the woods. I worried a bit when you still had the garage roof to do, but you got your second wind and tackled it like it was the beginning of the day. The battle with that ivy was epic and I wasn't always certain that you would emerge as the victor! But, of course, you showed me my concern was needless and promptly whipped it into shape and brought it under control. You must have been famished when you got home and in need of an epsom salt soak to soothe those muscles! What a difference you made there! The height of the hedge is so much nicer, but it was so much work. You had to cut it to less than half! With the height of that hedge and the number of leaves you removed from everywhere, I'd say it had been some time since any work had been done there. The condition of the grass under those leaves was a dead giveaway. The owners need your services to clean up the rest of the yard and then for regular maintenance! Their house has an unusual design and now everyone can finally see it! And their Dutch flag! 🇳🇱 Oh, and I very much enjoyed all of the "step-flips" with the shovel! Gets me every time! 😂 Have a great week! 🌿💚🌿
@kustorez77711 ай бұрын
Thank you very much Lucinda. I was really tired when I hauled everything into the woods, plus after cutting the hedge there were a lot of branches and it took me over 2 hours to clean up. You are right to point out that there is a lot of fallen leaves and most likely the Owners just blew everything under the hedge or maybe windblown. When I cleaned the garage roof, I was lucky that the ivy roots had not penetrated the walls and it was not as hard to remove. There was more work that could have been done in the neighbor's yard, but unfortunately it started to get dark and I had to finish the job!

The badly neglected hedge is looking a whole lot better thanks to your hard work. I still find it extraordinary that people continue to allow ivy to grow on their buildings when it is both destructive to the buildings and toxic to humans and animals. I have been trying to keep track of all the lawn care videos that show outrageous peels of vegetation/grass off of driveways and side walks. Some of the best have been found at SB Mowing (USA), QuickCuts V2 (Tasmania), Blade Mate Lawn Care (Australia) and Al Bladez (USA). I think Kustorez, however, should win mention for the most epic peel of ivy off of a garage roof! Outstanding work!

Love how short and thinned out you mad those hedges. (Still 5'-6' tall ... that's plenty tall.) And, getting all those tree/bush branches off the house and roof line -> A+ work. 👍 Looks so much better manicured.

Dieser Move mit der Schaufel❤, aber diese Laserlevel Genauigkeit mit der Hecke macht mich neidisch.

Great job! By the way, they make a battery operated nippers for small branches that will save you time and effort. So much better than those loppers you were using! I have one myself and love it.

Cool, dass mal ein deutscher Gärtner seine Arbeit mit der Kamera begleitet! Sehr ordentlich und gewissenhaft! Kraft hast du, nur mach dir nicht den Rücken kaputt ☺️
