Looking for an energy deal for charging your EV or a battery system like this then check out evnick.com/energy for more information on the Livoltek product range see my review coming in the next few weeks or head to livoltek.com/ multi meter featured amzn.to/3pidQ61

Good interaction between both presenters , supported with some good technical information. Having used the services of Morzak in the past, the quality of the install linked with technical ability gives confidence that you are getting a quality install. Thought the questioning helps with taking you through the ‘journey’ of the install, well done !

Great informative video. Looking forward to the review of the system. In South Africa hybrid inverters with batteries and solar is very popular due to the controlled "loadshedding" due to our national energy supplyer's bad planning and corruption.

Solar PV has proved to be a great investment for me and, were I much younger, I would have also installed battery technology.

Payback on battery for me is about 8 years when I worked out just switching from peak to offpeak uses, I’ll have a full video when I finalised the figures rather than fag pack maths

Another great video. like you I don't have solar and charge off-peak and discharge during the day, did this work for you? I've set the feed-in 'Enabled' yet set to 0, my inverter never discharges more than 100w, even though the load is for example 2KW, it's probably a setting but I don't know which, unless you had the same problem?

In most UK installations the idea of back-feeding the grid and zapping a lines-man is pretty unlikely, what you will probably do however is mess up and blow your inverter into a dozen pieces. Just use the EPS socket, we have so few blackouts in the UK anyway.
@NicolasRaimo
@NicolasRaimo Жыл бұрын
How would it damage the inverter? they have inner limits to avoid damage as such happening to them... YES its unlikely your cause damage to a lines-man however its not impossible

Can I ask.. I have the Livoltek system. The 5kw with battery.. I only have 3.6kw if PV.. how hard would it be to add an extra 4 panels on the 2nd channel? I have space for a little ground mounted system.
@NicolasRaimo
@NicolasRaimo 7 ай бұрын
No offence if your asking me the question your likely not qualified enough to fit it, you need to be careful with dc as spark risk and voltages get high, 4 panels also likely not enough to turn on the string for most days under minimum voltage need

@edc1569

Yeah LFP can get quite grumpy in cold spaces, they're not a good idea for outdoors - think thats why Tesla still use NMC in the powerwall.

@@edc1569 Thats kinda not true lots of new EVs now LiFePO4 BYD and MG to name 2 straight away and am sure am not telling you anything new that cars work outside. LFP doesn't starrt acting weird till -8c on the low end and about 40c on top end. When nearing these temps then the capacity will be lower during the events the BMS does a good job looking at these states. IN cars heating and cooling is provided for cells to try limit this further

It’s not like higher IP rated enclosures are a new thing either - they’ve been around for years and Manufacturers would’ve learnt a lot of lessons. If it was a major issue, the IET would have something to say about it.

It’s not just about protective devices it’s about the operation and humidity of any devices , I think you should have a protective device in the eye for the meter to be honest and meter tails aren’t an outdoor cable that allowed to be on show as they have no mechanical protection nor are they rcd protected
