The thing that might be difficult for foreigners to understand Bahasa Indonesia is that what they learn in courses mostly formal words. But in fact, most Indonesian speak slang words on daily basis. For example, present continuous tense in Indonesia actually uses "Subject + sedang + kata kerja (verb)" Example: *Saya sedang makan* (I'm eating) But we almost never say that, instead we say : *Saya lagi makan* (I'm eating) 'Lagi' is actually 'again' or 'more' in English, but in Indonesia we usually use it to replace 'sedang', like the above example.
@killersg.82903 жыл бұрын

Indonesian are simple, there's no future, present, past tense you just simply add the time without changing the word/vocab. "Dia"(neutral) mostly used instead of he or she.
@araisikewai4 жыл бұрын
It's very simple, yet you wouldn't believe how many English speakers incapable to differ the usage between "Kami" and "Kita", as both words translated into "We". Or conflicting terms such as "kurangin lagi dikit" which direct translation would read "lesser more a bit".

Hi Davin 😊 I am a certified Bahasa Indonesia tutor, teaching for 10 years, providing Free 1st class ( if you dont like our lesson, you may discontinue) and Rp 80.000 discount only before the end of this month I can teach you in flexible places (in cafe, office, or house,etc ), with much lower price (which is only Rp 160k per 60 minutes ) if they are compared to other companies offering Bahasa tutoring that charge around Rp 400.000 per 1 hour. I am a native Indonesian and in my company ,we were allowed to speak mostly in English around 90 %, and my English is more than 580 (for toefl) .This benefits you for improving English and Indonesian from me. I graduated from Universitas Indonesia (usually gets the 1st in Indonesia),my major gets the 1st rank in Indonesia too. I taught companies' directors who are American( PT AECOM), French, British, and British fashion designer of London who owns a company : Bannerman Company ,i taught staff of embassy of Poland, A Harvard alumnus (professional doctor), manager assistants of PT.AURA CANTIK and employees who are Australian, Spanish, British, Japan, and also children of a Korean director of Lottemart company. I am also specialized in informal Bahasa which is spoken by Indonesians as much as 96% percent everyday even in offices or in a formal situation like meetings. Indonesians tend to change Bahasa to what we know as "secret language codes" ,and i can assure you that these codes and the informal Indonesian are not taught in most companies that provide Indonesian tutorings. Speaking Indonesian to friends is considered cooler & more respectful and make it easier for networking and business . It is my pleasure to help you 😊
