Sounds like a west coast/G funk/snoop type of beat. The only thing missing is a theremin.

I'm 40, bro this is just giving me too many memories lol. I'd made soooo many beats on these games. MTV Music Generator 2 was awesome. It was funny because I grew up among the East London/ UK Garage scene (1997-2002ish) and just as the younger generation were coming up with Grime, you could hear a lot of samples from MTV Music Generator 2 haha 😂 *Edited to add an example* kzbin.info/www/bejne/qZO9cnSoZrN7fLc

My mom knows nothing at all about making music, but a tune she made on one of these music games back in the day still plays in my head from time to time 😂😂

Dude, It all started with Frequency for PS2, which inspired me to mess around with the prerecorded loops. Magix Music Maker later in 2006 allowed me to make a whole ass beat on my PS2. Even recorded audio with the USB mic accessory. Leading all to today, with hundreds of thousands of different beats/instrumentals made on my PC now using FL Studio... all thanks to PS2's adopting music production in the early 2000s!

You don't even need a good beat, just some early Eminem bars and that would have been a banger

That beat is similar to Fuck Wit Dre Days by Dr Dre

I remember as a child borrowing a copy of MTV Music Generator for PS1. Made so many silly beats. IIRC it could even sample from other CDs! Probably my very first experience with music production software.
