That box was rough man. You are definitely due for a good one soon. You said it perfectly, the only way to really make any money in this hobby is buying singles and either grading them or holding until the value goes up. Opening boxes or buying into breaks will always be a losing proposition over the long run. It’s the same in all sports. Honestly, there’s less value in most basketball and football hobby boxes. You can hit really big cards, but the boxes are incredibly watered down.

I look at opening boxes like a Slot Machine. I know the odds of my $100 being a loss, but what if I hit that Jackpot? Each pack is like each spin. Opening boxes is my Nostalgia, the gamble of pulling a card to pay for the box, is my thrill. Did you ever price out all the cards you pulled? You've pulled some banger cards.

And i got some autos and number autos. And i just wanted advice on what to get graded. Like autos obviously and number autos. But what about non autos? Like regular number cards that are not auto's?

Basically. But as I said. Not every box is the same. My past 2 were arguably worse. I’d say 100 back on a box is what I’d expect. Singles are definitely the way to go.

Panini made much better designs for UFC cards. I have not had any luck with Topps. Given that they have no competition right now they don’t have to put many hits in any given box.
