You should try the hair again but knot it together using the magic knot / hidden knot in crochet. Where you tie each piece on to each other and then pull the together. It makes a really strong knot

Love that u did the plastic wrap in jails they use trash bags by cutting the bags with it folded up where u end up with a circle of plastic then loop it to a metal post n is used for laundry lines as well as for water weights holding about 20 25 pounds interesting enough i had to braid it as well with three segments of plastic make the "rope" repeated three times then braid it. It is still holding up today thanks to my freind who is still in n its been solid now for 8 months

I work in textiles on a daily basis. You can learn how to spin in about an afternoon, but to make a consistent thread it takes about 6-12 months of practice. Making a thread isn't as easy as it appears, but it can be very rewarding. I have 4 spinning wheels and countless drop spindles.
