Just here to say that your killing this video format! The trivia is keeping engagement and the tech talk is tuned to the minimum. You know your KZbinr stuff. Kudos. Also, killer playing! Enter Sandman weirdly sounds tuned one half step up. Maybe the tone was too bright or the bass mixed too quiet? Also that would be peak Metallica..

I have a katana 50 mark 2 under my desk. Let me give you a tip to get more AJFA sound, just take the acoustic guitar amp as base and take a ds-1 or some other chugger from the integrated effect pedals. Then work with the eq in your DAW. Bonus: Play around with the Katana's built in noise silencer, it's pretty good and doesn't cut out too much dynamic. Bonus 2: It's not as much distortion as you think. Bonus 3: 0.3-0.5s of reverb or delay helps with accentuation of palm mutes!

The katana really opens up with the third party interface, to actually allow you to use the other 25 amp models that are on the katana amps, rather than the 5-6 that are visible on the amp.

@mohammadal-yatama1224 ай бұрын
@ChristopherOrz search for "katana sneaky amps". Basically part of a firmware code is shared between the katana amps and one of the boss multi effect floor pedals. This includes some amp models. By using third party software, you can get acess to these hidden amp models in your catana that you normally wouldn't be able to acess. Think of them as like being able to press a software version of variation button in this software. You don't get something completely drastically different, but instead of just two variations, now you get quite allot of new voicings on the existing amp models by using this third party software.

Honestly, this amp sounds nothing like any metallica tone. It gives a solid thrashy metal tone, but the only thing metallica here is Jamie's awesome playing. There are other amps that come A LOT closer to any sort of metallica tones. This is just another amp that does a solid thrash metal tone and someone is playing metallica tunes on it. Doesn't mean it sounds like metallica.
