Adding a qt of synthetic to regular oil is you just getting a syn blend. Your engine may get a little cleaner from the help.

Thank you. I bought synthetic not knowing. I've used half of the large bottle so far. I always heard that synthetic wasn't really oil and never put it in. So my 20 year old car won't blow up I hope.

Yea I had about a quart of conventional left from a change so I just mixed it in the synthetic oil jug with 4 quarts of synthetic and it has no issues mixing but it might degrade it slightly so instead of 10000 mile oil change do it at 7 or 8

Dont use synthetic blend its not a good oil. Go full synthetic. My car requires the blend but I can see its inferior because I burn oil when I use it. I have a lot of miles on my car and settled with Castrol Edge high mileage full synthetic and has been the best oil Ive ever used. Everyone I know is using that now.
