I watched a few of your vids and after seeing this one I think it will be my last. That is nonsense. Ofcourse you can go off roading. You can't do what a dirt bike will do, But there are many videos of people in their rukus taking long on and off road trips without issues. Sure their not jumping 5ft in the air but you didnt say that. You said it cant go off road even at slow speeds because you believe the manual that you can be killed if you go over a tiny rock at slow speeds on a dirt road. Thats ridiculous. Honda puts that because Americans are sue happy. I bet in other countries the booklets have only the maintenance intervals. None of the legal mumbo jumbo. Lol. Honestly I dont know much about the rukus but I think I know more then you so I need to get over on to another channel for more info on the rukus because I want to buy one within a week from now and I will be using it off road and on fire roads when we go camping. I highly doubt a pebble will cause my 10 mph drive on the rukus to kill me.

They do just fine off road, you need to understand you’re not riding a Honda 100. I’ve forded streams, taken it through a bunch of tall grass (6’+), ridden on a frozen lake, a frozen canal. The Ruck does just fine.

I got mine with the intentions of lowering and stretching it out. But after taking it on a few trails decided not to. Just throw some $10 door pegs on it so you can stand and the thing whips. It handles like a bmx bike, and it's so light in the front that any time you get stuck or need to ride over something you just lift up like on a bike. It's no CRF but for sub 25mph trail riding it does great.

i agree with most of the other commenters. you read the manual and decided it couldn't be off roaded? thanks for wasting my time.

It can go off road, especially dirt trails and dirt roads that aren't really aggressive. Pick and choose how to use it. Re # of passengers, install a ruck rack and make a little seat in back and it can haul 2 people.

dirt trails, grass, gravel the ruck will do. my 87 suzuki fa50 used to ride in snow and laps around house in grass before i was 14 and able to drive on the street. my sister then road laps around the house until she was 14 too then. it had lot skinnier tires. i wouldnt take the ruck through deep mud pits or sand or just straight into the woods with no trails or up a mountain bike trail but across a pasture or dirt road or fairly flat dirt bike trail.

Your critics seem a little harsh to me, I thought it was a responsible presentation. The point, well illustrated, showing the inability to stand is a good observation. No doubt Honda has a liability concern since courts hand out crazy sums of money for stupid operators. The Ruckus is a rugged looking bike that seems to be up to the task of aggressive terrain. You are simply pointing out that it might not be the best choice. Care to say what part of New England you are in? I spent my first 26 years in MA/VT and I loved it but I've been on the left coast for the last 40+.

My favorite thing about the Ruckus is mods.. hands down the most highly customizable scooter ever made..even stock Rukus at 100mpg tank... there's people taking it on road trips all over in that thing...even off road regular trail roads.

You dont stand, you lean up. Its the same as a small wheel bicycle which can go offroad. On the ruckus you don't need to stand and dont need the big suspension because of speed limitations vs your dirtbike. Its a slow offroad hauler with big wheels as in big tires as in big tire bicycle.
@tonyvandyke75883 жыл бұрын
😂 that’s not an instruction. That’s a factory recommendation. There are a few KZbin videos where guys took the ruckus off roading. Anything can be taken off road by an experienced rider. That note on page one is because you could seriously damage the bike.

If you just road it on gravel roads it might be ok. But if you hit pot holes with it or try to jump it, you might break it in half! Lol. Honestly though, the small wheels, tires, and the short suspension are not much different from the old Honda Trail 50's and Trail 70's from back in the old days. I used to ride those little bikes wide open in cow pastures all the time. They handled terribly, and rode so rough it would kill your back, but we did it anyway, so knowing that, I'd say the Ruckus could do it too, but definitely not comfortably. And it certainly wouldn't be a walk in the park like riding a CRF100 through a cow pasture, which is super easy and handles great, tracks perfectly straight even at 45mph.

Trevor Jameson CRF 100 is an awesome bike! And I agree, the handling is tough on these scooters that aren’t made for it, thanks for the feedback!

I use mine for hunting and fishing. I take it right out to my tree stand.. I also pull my deer out of the woods with it... And that's before my mods.
@ExplorerOfLife3184 жыл бұрын
Where do you attach the deer to on the Ruckus? Seat frame?

The main frame of the bike.

Theyre made to be good for gravel and grass compared to hondas other 49cc scooter the metropolitan, nothing more than that. Id still take one offroad if the trail wasnt too bad, you forgot the gas tank is inches from the ground too.

I also will offer this constructive criticism the next time you're driving a motorcycle up a hill that you think is impressive why don't you aim the camera up instead of just down at your legs; you're not a hot girl and I don't want to look at your legs the whole time you're going up this big hill duh
