Can you explain abt the gbm programme from humber..like it is a 2 year course...so how many days of break do we get after completing 2nd semester? For example if i take admission in September 2021... Is there any whole summer break or its our choice whether to take that break? Because i want the 4 specialization subjects which are provided only in fall term...and if we take a summer break, can there be any reduction or problem while applying for work permit that we get for 3 years? Yes you can change after first semester but it may vary according to your program. Also if you transfer they might not transfer all your credits as courses could be different. Email humber as they could best answer this question.

Hey, thank you for the information. I just have one doubt, you said that two semesters is 8 months. I'm planning for a 4 semester course and the program coordinator said that its 2 calendar years. Is that true, does four semesters equate to two calendar years.

Hello, yes your program coordinator is correct. 4 semester means 2 calendar year. So in 1 calendar year you would have 2 semesters and 1 summer break. 2 semesters (8 months) + summer break (4 Months) = 1 full calendar year. Also, 2 semesters (8 months) are called as 1 academic year. So let's say if you don't take summer drop then you can study for 3 semester in one calendar year. In short, your program coordinator is absolutely CORRECT.

I have been doing some research on both Canada and USA universities and I found out that if you are an international student in usa you are not allowed to make money even from youtube. I just wanted to ask if it is the same for Canada or can I make youtube videos and earn in Canada?

Cash Jobs are ILLEGAL. So even if you work for just 1 minute on cash it is still ILLEGAL. You always have to work on SIN. NEVER DO CASH JOBS. I do NOT recommend cash jobs.

In order to come to canada there is a GIC requirement. so we must deposit 10K which will help us to survive in Canada

Guaranteed investment certificate. That means you have to deposit $10,000 in Canadian bank (usually Scotiabank). They will then give you back your deposit over a year's time. That way you would have constant cash inflow for a year in order to cover your expenses.

GIC stands for guaranteed investment certificate. You need to deposit $10,000 under this scheme where you get $670 every month with additional one time receipt of $2000. Most international students have to open a GIC account in Scotiabank.
