My BC Lynx just got delivered today. I was looking for something for the same reason you are, something diff than all the 5150’s and 6505’s I’ve been playing for years. I’ll have an update on how it sounds tonight after messing around with it. Gonna play with a few 6 strings with diff sets of EMG’s in them, and a 7 string with Lundgren pick ups in it. Should give me a good idea of its tonal pallet. And since I boost everything, i will try pushing it with a KHDK Ghoul Screamer, a Fortin Grind and a Fortin 33 and a TC integrated preamp see what works best with it. Got a feeling a Tubescreamer is all it needs to tighten it up but I’ll have better idea for you guys tonight after messing around with it. Cab I’ll be putting it thru is a 212 Marshall with Celestion 70/80’s as that’s all I got in my home studio at the moment but gonna bring one of my cabs with V30’s home in a few days and also try and push it thru my Hesu 212. I’ll put it thru its paces today and let you guys know!

I can’t speak for 5150iii’s w el34’s but i returned mine for a stealth. Really needs to be boosted to get it into that playing field. I put it thru my v30 loaded Marshall cab and my Hesu cab w demon speakers. I had to dial in the eq unlike anything before to get a decent tone. Bad cat saw one of my posts on Insta and replied saying there must have been something wrong with it for me to have to had dialed it in that way. I’ve seen a couple other people say similar things regarding it really needing a boost. Im not gonna say it’s a bad amp bc there could have been something off with the one I got but compared to the stealth it was like night and day. I really wanted to like this thing but it just fell short. For the money there are better options out there but that’s my opinion based off my experience so I can only speak to that but as far as other tone samples I’ve heard that weren’t well recorded like this one and several others and rather more just straight raw tone, they seemed to line up more with what i was getting out of mine. Deff did not sound as good as this vid for example and I know it’s not easy to come by in every store but it’s an amp I’d deff recommend trying before buying bc I was ultimately disappointed, and I had saved $380 off retail price w my store discount. Might be the reason there’s not a ton of sound samples out there or again, could have just been a dud unit that I got but to me it just fell short 🤷‍♂️
