Ok guys, I,ve been playing bass for 40 years and I'm always looking for some new practice routines . Just bought 2 books from Janek and I'm floored by the quality and the work that goes into making those. Do not hesitate, those books will make you all better bassists!

Great lesson Maybe to think in numbers, G is the 7th of Ab So making the G a minor pentatonic sounds like introducing the 5th of Ab as a flat (5thb) which is the D Think I got it😁 #Amazing

Can you apply this in reverse, for a minor chord, go up a half step..... maybe that's for another video....or buy the book :) love these short ideas videos, accessible and thought provoking. I've just been practicing along with this one. Thank you.

@@SirGranular as a general rule you apply almost anything to anything. But in order for it not to sound like gibberish a grasp of phrasing, sound and time are essential. In my experience, listening + experimenting = finding your own voice as a musician. Be that as bass player, soloist, artist, or composer.
