Love both but the skull is pretty sweet, I really like the contrast between the skull and snake texture. I can imagine using the iridescent powder on just the snake and then either white or black (or leave clear) on the skull parts would look really awesome.

It might be interesting to see if you could put some LED filament in when casting, so that the snake is a different color (maybe red?) from the skull. Might make it look like it's separate from the skull, instead of an integrated single piece.

I was thinkin similar, tho more of a jack o lantern/nightlight idea of just stickin an LED inside it after pourin the resin (can quite easily seal up a small drilled hole in the bottom with some resin, and its not like anyone looks at the botom anyways)

I think they both look great, but I agree about the dullness of the dinosaur. I wonder if you could use some clear gloss or paint on some resin to pop up the shine. For the skull mold, can you turn the mold inside out and paint the snake with color shift? I think that would look really cool. ❤️ From 🇺🇸

I like the sculpt of the dino better, I think the skull is a bit busy. Once the skull was lit up it looked way more readable than without, though, and is very nice! The dino looks pretty cool lit up, but it would look even nicer if its head wasn’t much dimmer than the body.

I like the derpy dino! Pity the scales were matt rather than shiny but it seems to be the trend even with the snakes. I think Colour Shift powder on the snakes would make them stand out well against a 'crystal' skull. Possibly look great on the dino too, come to think of it.

You can spray krylon Chrystal clear enamel over your resin piece. Just don’t get denatured alcohol on it afterwards. Also you can pre seal embedments to keep them from introducing air bubbles into the piece!

I would have to say the dino is cute. I believe would pop a bit more lit up if there was more color in its legs. The majority of the color was in the head and snout as well as the arms. The skull did look much more shiny and better I think because the color was more spread out evenly. Though both are great in different ways.

They both are cool but the skull pops more on the light because of the shine. I'm betting the plain skull one you have would really pop too. I like that you can recycle the shavings into other projects like that. That is awesome almost makes your projects have no waste that is cool.
