Can You Reuse Commercial Jars For Canning?

I have used mayonnaise jars in my pressure canner to can green beans and have had no problems.

It's getting so hard to find mayo in glass jars where we are. Was this fairly recent, or awhile ago?

ah yes the ole miracle whip jars .... when they used to sell in glass ... we reused them all the time ... and i still have a handfull of them in my jar stash ... fits wide mouth lids and rings like a charm ... the good ole days when the industry encouraged home canning ...i do also use the more recent classico spaghette sauce jars as well ... but as like Sprague River i just use them for water bath canning ....
