If there's anyone wondering what happens when solving the wings parity, the algorithm also swaps around center pieces, which you wouldn't notice on a solved cube. The [r2 B2 U2 l U2 r' U2 r U2 F2 r F2 l' B2 r2] OLL parity algorithm also switches the inner centers in a diagonal fashion, at least on a 4x4x4 and does something smilar on a 6x6x6. This is why you should always do it at the end or prepare yourself properly so you don't mess up anything else!

But the point is, I clicked on the video because I was curious about the concept. so when you broke the 3x3 setup, it kinda broke my heart. 🤣 I want to know if it were possible not to break the setup and still solve it. Thanks!
@musicguy89122 жыл бұрын
He did, what happened is that when he did the original edge swap his algorithm put the cube into an unsolvable state for 3x3 so he was fixing the 3x3 like how he did in the previous part of the video after bringing the cube back to a solvable state he continued the 3x3 method. If you get mad at him for those swaps then the whole first part of the video was the same thing
@mmmmmmmmmmmmm2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the whole point of that part was that he got parity, making it impossible to continue without fixing it by doing what he did

Hey so I know this is a stupid idea challenge and all, but what if while making corners you did tripod instead of LL? Not sure if that's what it's called but before finishing last f2l slot you make a 2x2x1 block on the top, leaving FLU FU FRU RU BRU FR and FDR unsolved. From there you could make your final f2l pair and you'll have built 15 pieces intuitively, or you could finish up the edges and have 16 intuitive (if you consider a bunch of sledge variants intuitive).
