I see all these tutorials that say “Make Music Like Martin Garrix or Hardwell or Don Diablo etc...”. Make music like you and no one else. We don’t need another Don Diablo, he already exists, be you.

If you want to get a great fanbase and get noticed, it's the most important to have an original sound. People are fan of Don Diablo, Brooks or Mesto because of there sound. It was original and something new. Another way is to produce a genre that is the most upcoming. Currently Future house/Future bounce is the most upcoming. Ans you don't need to know how to sound design to create you're. Just try to use sounds different or to use something that is not used before. An example is Jauz who used a dubstep bass in house ans that's how Bass house was born. Or Martin Garrix, Justin Mylo and Mesto combining the lead from Bigroom and the bass from future house with them ending up creating a new genre called Future bounce. The point of this is that you should always stay creative and original, not copying somebody else. And remember that EDM Production is a journy that is supposed to be fun. So if it's not fun and you get stuck always take a break for a couple of days. Now I wish you a great day!

YES YES YES ! Love this video.. some great advice for young DJ/s Producers :) .. I have been producing like 128BPM progressive house or trying for the past 3/3 and a half years (self taught no college or University's) and i'm only just grasping it and knowing what goes where and layering and notes/ EQing and mastering and all the technical stuff i'm learning every day, i'm sending my music to big record labels, yes i'm constantly getting rejected but i'm not giving up, gonna keep going till i get that big deal ! hoping to be playing clubs and festivals in the coming years ( i'm 20, 21 in June )

2:44 - 2:57 is such a good point. A perfect example is the Chainsmokers. They made their remixes and early songs in their own unique way. They went to pop to try and be like everyone else and make more money off the industry. They could've spread EDM to so many more people. They had their own sound, but lost it trying to sound like TOP and other bands.

Fatih Hadisov just being honest but if you only worked 2 months at it, you didn’t work hard enough.

Fatih Hadisov even if you work day and night, you will get nowhere in 2 months. It's a long time process and maybe you'll start making decent music in 1 year of time if you work damn hard.

@Albert-qq3le6 жыл бұрын
Didn't watch the video yet but my anwser is yes. You can, there are so many people out there. Who lose popularity and others gain it for like 6 years and then have nothing. People search for new things to be listend to. So just be original and surprise the world with your own style. As a producer myself i'm not like being a producer for fame money etc. I'm a producer to enjoy people with my music. Just want to have more people entertained.

2 tips for maming an original sound: watch tutorials, but don’t make the music as you’re watching them otherwise it will be a straight copy. remember the key tips, then make the music. also, watch tutorials from different people. dont only watch from memphy, or arcade, or elation, or whatnot. watch many and combine the elements of their style you like to create your own, and dont use the parts you don’t like.

4:50 spoilers, labels don't listen to every song, they'll listen to like 20% of the demos sent per hour or something like that. For big labels like Spinnin', it's humanely impossible to listen to every one. So luck plays a major factor, and once you get listened to, your track better be the best out of every track the A&Rs have heard over the past few months. So to be successful, yes, you do have to be the creme of the creme.
