Boss you didn’t factor in home insurance, car maintenance, personal grooming, entertainment. In this country you need everything almost double, two sets of tires, clothes appropriate for summer and winter same with shoes. If you have kids and they grow up pretty fast so all CCB goes toward that. Canada has become impossible to survive you need upwards to 150k income to survive. 6500 to 7000 per month that too in a rental town home. And owning a house will always remain a dream in Toronto. You can only buy a home in a nicer city if you are loaded from back home. If you think to save a down payment here and buy. Good luck. You can move to suburbs but unfortunately no jobs. I have been living in Canada for 17 years and regretting every bit of my decision to coming here. US should have been a much better option.

Can you please do your calculations again? By the time you have included internet and cell phone expenses the total amount touched 5800. For extended family like mine of 8 to 10 and intend to get my children's education either online or in a Islamic school, I should keep atleast 150 k per year net of taxes or 12,500per month net income! What is your opinion.? L
