I know what you mean. I went to the Harley dealership and looked at the 2024s and the new design looks good. All the fan boys that went to Las Vegas are falling all over themselves say this is the best ever and you have to have one. I say give it a year and look to owner reviews and possibly problems before spending your hard earned money.

Vegas would never be the same if you two showed up 😂. Agreed on the reviews. I’ve done a handful of them but am tired of them now and have been turning down requests lately. I’ve also been on a KZbin break and only watch a very select few videos. Like yours 😊

Sean is good people! I tell ya, when I see a glowing review on ANYTHING - especially one where the item was received for free - with no downsides or nitpicks mentioned, I gotta question it. Not saying I wouldn't get caught up in the manufacturer-sponsored review, but I'd try REAL HARD to make it as honest and unbiased as I could :D

Real brave riding behind the rock truck. I’ve only been sent stuff by one thing and I told myself, I’d only promote stuff that I actually believe in. And I’ve listened to some guys videos about selling stuff and they sound like they are reading off a script the whole video.. as for the whole “pay my whole trip and expect a positive review.. I totally believe think that if someone gets their trips paid for, it’s like a bias opinion for the video. Ride safe out there. I found out where I want my patch on your wall. I like KZbinrs that are genuine down to earth and not trying to profit off all the free stuff companies send them. I prefer the smaller channels and quickly unsubscribe when they start sounding like commercials. I like the skits you and your son do. Keep it real brother!

You are absolutely right Big Smitty. These YT Cats are all in. Unless they change the specific content focus of their channels. So the question might be. How would most peeps be in those same shoes respond and then expect an invite at future dates? These KZbin Cats being romanced with an all expenses paid trip to these product press launches. Are being used for their inexpensive messaging abilities.Anyone that is not familiar with the “cost of advertising and customer acquisition costs” only need to watch a few episodes of Shark Tank. Finding the fastest, cheapest most effective way to get eyes on your product is through Social Media’s higher subbed personalities. Harley Davidson, a company who won’t anytime soon forget how horrible their financials were with tanking stocks. YT/Social Media personalities are a bullseye to the specific target customer. Because old school traditional advertising via radio, TV and printed matter is antiquated. It’s pretty much dead. It wouldn’t be wise for a YT personality to ever compromise such a privileged relationship by being critical or negatively speaking about the product. This is a great example of “I scratch your back. You scratch mine”. Truth is not what you hear. So we must demo and come to our own conclusions. Just my .2.

Oh these companies know that having KZbinrs advertise their stuff for free saves them money, time and the effort to reach their desired demographic! Personally those guys that get the freebies, I kinda take those reviews with a grain of salt. I just want them to tell us upfront that is a corporate paid event or free item. If its somone I watch and engaged with, it carries more weight. If someone walks the talk and uses the item. We see it in videos. Thats the review I will trust. I do not get free stuff but would I. Hell yeah. Great topic.

I did not even need to see the content to answer this one. I trusted a KZbinr one time, brought my bike to him, and it was a total shit show. After the local HD dealer fixing everything he has gone out of business, stolen thousands from his customers, and I know they’d love to find him. So no, never trust a KZbinr.

But that should be with anything. Before i had back surgery i tracked down and talked to mofo's who had it from THAT doctor. Before i made the switch to Rams, i rode in the damn trucks from people that owned them. Before i bought my 131 I....well....well i don't always make informed buying decisions 😒

You always can tell which big motorcycle content creators get treated to the all inclusive media package. There is no way they are going to get an an honest review. That bridge would burn so fast and it would be the last one they did for them lol. I miss the days of Hot Bike Magazine, generally you would get an honest review or rating.

I won't lie. I have purchased a few thing that @ProfessionalMonkey has mentioned if it was something I needed anyway. He has not led me wrong to date. i.e. NOCO battery tender and Lexicon torc bits set.
