Yes! But your voice itself will be a better instrument if you keep it strong, healthy, and precise by TRAINING the voice to be more of a 'singer's voice'. This doesn't mean 'learning & applying MaqAmAt' which we just learned in this video is not what we should be doing. But you can still use techniques that professional singers use to maintain the beauty of their voice. While we should avoid 'a certain melody or MaqAm', we can still learn and apply all the other stuff that a professional music singer would do in order to progress their voice. I believe they call this having a "trained voice". Basically, he is saying, avoid one thing: 'importing music into recitation'. But we still have to do all the work that any singer would have to do if we want ppl to enjoy hearing our voices. This means avoiding smoking and things that will take away from your voice tone & sound texture. Being a reciter is a commitment. It is a life-style similar to an athlete. God willing we will all memorize a lot of Scripture and recite it and encourage others.

We are not allowed to study maqamaat which means learning them and reciting with them is impermissible. You have to recite without studying maqaamaat and reciting in a natural way. How can you master a maqaamat if you are not allowed to study it? People have 'mastered' their own recitations which are natural and nothing to do with specific tones or switching between tones. What people have done is try to give names to tones and specifically recite in these tones based on the types of quran ayahs which is again impermissible - this is the essence of maqamaat

Pay attention please: i make it quick, in islam oul ways must be a reason our (dalil) for call something sin، we belive and we are shure that profet(s) and the Readers of the Quran from sahabah( hes companions) signed quran with maghamat, brothers it is impossible reading quran beautiful with out maqhamat , you khow it or dont , the thing that i want to reach is that we read in hadith that profet (s) sometimes order to sahaba abo mosa ashari (rz) to read for him quran , because hes voice was beautiful, ( but we khow that even vest voice in the world when be out of maghamat ,turn ugly. So the reading with magham was done by prophet (s) and other fallower , and later then had extracted by scientists like evry others things in the islam like(sarf-nahve-sharia-the Tajweed-Placing Quranic signs like vaqhf oue stop, The principles of hadith...) if we go with this youtube video ruls, then we dont have eny things. And There is another thing, it is impossible ,seeing that be halal but learning the same thing be haram, it does not exist in hadith and Sharia and will not exist. I hope the other Scholars read my text and before that do some research about ( سببيه و قياس الحكم ) . And i be happy that owner of channel think again about subject ( other things are , we don't says it isn't beada (heresy) it's but it's sonna in other way that results of learning maghamat = is singing quran beautiful = doing hadith.

Enythings that are out frome tajweed are bad , but we see master menshavi tartil and Hosary, they sing quran with maghamat and they tajweed are best and oul oul oul the Scholars has learned from them. And now they without thinking rejact oul they're masters. The greatest are sheikh hosary and he is one who recorded oul quran tartil for first time. And eny body do that job , they are some Piese of reward for him . And prophet (s) says who make our starts a sonnat hasana( new good things, good way) for him a reward and nother reward for him if eny body do that thing he started, like any body who learning quran and Sharia with learning Arabic, there are some reward for hazrat ali(rz) because he started extract of Arabic laws and ordered to he's followers to do that .

As-Salaamu Alaikum brother. Honestly, if you make an effort to learn proper tajweed (if you do not already) you'll find that your recitation will already be beautified. You can always apply to melodious sound as long as you stay within the limits of the rules of tajweed. I strongly agree with the point in this video. 'Trying too hard' reciting in maqamat is simply distracting for listeners. But on a side note, Sheikh Bandar Baleela, one of Imam of the Haramain actually does vary his recitation of Quran during prayer with certain type of maqamat, but in an appropriate manner way, i think. His way of reciting, actually give depth of the ayat, really beautifying it, without distracting listeners from the meaning of what's being recited. This of course, only my opinion. Salam. 😁

Agreed, Sheikh Bandar Al-Balelah diversified his recitations with various beautiful maqamat. Meanwhile Sheikh Maher Al-Muaqly only recites in just a same melody and so boring. I don't know why people regard him highly 😅 maybe they don't know the art of recitation

Maqaamat is permissible. All major Quran reciters mastered their own maqaamat and even created their own tones. Does that make it haram? No it doesn’t. For example if you listen to sheikh Maher you can see he goes with the same flow not coming up with it. In certain times he changes it depending on the meaning of the verse. That’s maqaamat. You don’t have to go to music class to study maqaamat just like no music class needed to beautify one voice to learn the Quran.

​@@Lzali10469 it is easy for you to say you naturallly learn maqamat by listening to different maqamats everyday without attending class. Those maqamats you hear are around you everyday. What about those who aren't hearing them everyday? I'm from Malaysia. I hear Malaysian maqamat. How about Indonesian maqamat? Korean maqamat? Chinese maqamat? Hawaian maqamat? Those natural maqamat for those people . Isn't it? So they can use their natural maqamat when reciting quran?

@@ummfaizal wrong answer. hadith said Quran should be recited in 7 Arabic dialects ('uruf/qiraat/pronunciations). nothing about maqamats (scales/ modes). produce one hadith here if you have the source (about the maqamats). and as i said earlier it's easier for Arabs to recite Quran in their "natural" maqamats because they hear them (their maqamats) everyday since they were born. but for the rest world, the non arabs, those arabic maqamats aren't familiar at all. personally, I think we are allowed to recite Quran in whatever maqamat we are familiar with, as long as we recite it with correct Tajweed and Qiraat. Allah knows best.

Best wisdom and clarification of whether Maqamat is Sunah or not. Permissible/mustahab or haram. Anything that distract you to ponder the word of Allah is not permissible. @@tanjong2021 tarannum ini sudah masyhur. Memang di baca dengan tarannum walaupun di negeri Arab Saudi yang Wahhabi pun. Memang jelas dia berkata 'haram' pada tarannum. Di samakan dengan not-not musik, di samakan dengan belajar muzik. Memang kerja Wahhabi begitu. Di seluruh dunia ajaran Saudi Wahhabi merebak. Jika jelas yang bawa lagu itu adalah lagu-lagu moden, maka itu adalah jelas lagu Bida'ah. Kalau semua bidaah, tajwid, ushul fiqh, ushuluddeen, mustolahul hadith, nahu, sorof, semua bida'ah lah. I remember when I was memorizing a juz, my ustadzah was laughing at the way I recited the Quran. She said it was funny, it sounded like a murottal, like Mishary Rashid who recites without a certain melody/maqamat.. Well I never learned maqamat, but I know the meaning of what I recited, so my tune was following the meaning of the ayat, like telling a story...unfortunately she found that funny..

In musabaqah, there's many judges that will judge with different categories. Such as Tajweed, Maqamat, Voice and many. So if we say that Maqamat will make the recitation bad, it's wrong. It depends on the reciter. But the Maqamat's not.

Yoj are abdolutely right, once i was crazy to listdn to maaam nahawand it gives me sukoon but i noticed that it was not the meaning of quran but just the tune is so melodious, I noticed they exsgerate the maddaas too long specislly in azaan , Yes you are right we should recite in our iwn natural style like sahabas did

SubhanAllah. I love Sheikh Mishary Rashid’s recitations as his tajweed is phenomenal. But when I was learning Quran on my own, I couldn’t listen to his recitations due to the extreme melody he does. I learned the entire Quran by listening to Sheikh Minshawi as its straight forward and natural. SubhanAllah! This was simply innate! Now that I have a good handle on the Quran, its easier to concentrate on Sheikh Mishary’s recitations & not focus on the melody.

So can I read with maqamat if 1: I don't break tajweed rules 2: I don't focus on maqamat over what it means 3: and I don't overdo it Also what about Qari ibraheen bakeer I don't catch tarweed mistakes in him. Also about changing the tone of your voice to trigger certain emotions based on the Aya like Qari Ibraheem does So could j learn basic maqamat from listening in order to buetify my recitation?
