How about this: Going somewhere with only the most powerful liquid fuel engine in the game (I think it's the Mammoth? Whichever has the four small thruster nozzles on it.) Or: Going somewhere with only the weakest liquid fuel engine in the game (I believe that's the Ant engine but could be wrong)

@mohammedmunir64193 жыл бұрын
@@ReidCaptain I recommend using the spider engine instead for the first few stages, as it has better efficiency lower into the atmosphere, and has control gimbling, at the cost of being more heavy, but also the exact same thrust. The ant and spider engines are practically siblings, so might be helpful to consider both

@regularrock8637 Жыл бұрын
The reason your parachutes didn't deploy earlier isn't just because of your speed or altitude, but also because in addition to adjusting the deployment altitude, you also needed to adjust the deployment minimum pressure, that little thing that's set to 0.04 by default. That should be 0.01 on a Duna landing. That number sets the minimum atmospheric pressure the parachutes need to feel before they semi-deploy into their drogue mode. The altitude setting (which is set to 1000m by default and which you maxed out to 5000m) controls when the parachute goes from semi-deployed to fully-deployed.

Hold down shift when using the translate gizmo, or at least use structural fuselages and cubic struts instead of empty fuel tanks. Good idea with the blocking. I tried to use staging, with separatrons that cancel out and push away lit SRBs, I think, which doesn't give anywhere near the same potential finesse. AIRBRAKES can be grabbed by the Klaw. You can use them as servos.
