As an island start enjoyer myself, I AM IN LOVE WITH THESE CHALLENGE VIDEOS! Though, Iceland may be a little too ambitious for now. There are so many factors against it that make the last challenge video look trivial in comparison. 1. Slow boat speed 2. Far from any good land 3. Expanding south just takes you into the British Isles, another set of small islands that *ALSO* brings you into the middle of the map. 4. When doing an island spawn, your first priority should *NOT* be to consolidate the island, but to send boats out as quickly as possible to get footholds before other players take that land. Bots will spawn on larger islands, however they aren't often a concern as they'll have eachother to attack. The issue is that Iceland is unfortunately the perfect size where it is common for only a single bot to spawn, forcing you to fight for the island before the bot consolidates it and attacks you before you have the chance to make landfall and expand elsewhere. I have been infatuated with challenge spawns for months now, and if you'd like to continue them, have a few recommendations! These are spots that I have managed to win, or have done well with. They should give you more freedom and/or safety to expand, while still being a fun challenge! Europe: Åland (My #1 favorite) (Very short boating distance to both Finland and Sweden immediately available upon spawning, and then quickly from Finland into the Baltics.) Replot (1 pixel boating distance into Finland. Also a very short distance from Sweden. Often, you are able to capture most/all of northern Scandinavia.) Southern England Caucasia: Karpas Peninsula (Assuming there are no bots on the island. Easy access to Turkey any Syria.) World: Australia Madagascar Baffin Island (My #2 Favorite) (Relatively sizeable in of itself. Spawning on the southern portion of the island, you can easily expand and then boat into Greenland and two different parts of Canada.) Tahiti (Trust me :)

I use Britain spawn in Territorial. If you consolidate power in Britain and Ireland quick enough, you can go attack Normandy and surrounding areas while everyone else is still at the regional stage. You won't have to be threatened by neighbours just marching into your territory unless you're on Mainland Europe, just like IRL.

Every Iceland player I've seen is like an ambush player. They just look to Scotland and wait for the person to forget they're there, and then sneak invade them. Even if they take Scotland, by the time they do, everyone else is usually too developed anyway.

For an extreme challenge, try winning from Iceland on Very Hard single player. It's an accomplishment just taking over Iceland lol. So far, I've only beat it on Harder and even that needed some starting luck.
