Strange your device was getting 1.5TH in low mode. Mine gets about 2.2TH @ 61 Watts in low mode. Must be silicone lottery.

@@xxvxvxx haha yeah the black thing is the power supply. last time they dropped a small miner similar to this was like 2013 iirc but it was just a USB miner. afaik the only thing "close" to this is the futurebit stuff but imo nothing else really comes close to the efficiency/price/performance. this miner is somewhat unprecedented in terms of specs, price & energy consumption.

You can mine sha256 altcoins like bcash or cheetah coin if that still exists but that's a waste of time imo. If you wanna mine alts for profitability, I'd recommend using nicehash

@@justh0dl ahh I see... You had me worried there haha... I've been building bitaxes as a hobby and selling them on the side over on ebay. I just ordered myself 4 of these nano's thanks to your video. This is certainly gonna blow the doors of the bitaxes performance. But that's ok, competition is good. I mean building a bitaxe from complete scratch, down to even sending out the schematics to China to build the bare pcb's, they cost me about 72 bucks inclluding the power supplies. And that's cutting things extremely tight. So I have no idea how they can sell them so cheap. I honestly believe they are just doing for recognition and to help get mining back into the homes. But this got me to thinking, swing these devices have ten 5nm chips in them, that means they are running the chips at a comfortable 400gh/s each when at the 4th/s setting. These things then can be overclocked as I know they can handle 600gh/s without sending them into damage mode. So with some clever hacking/tweaking it should be possible to get these to hash at 6th/s at around 190 watts. I can't wait to get my hands on mine and start fiddling around with it.

Depends on your electricity rate. It consumes 125 watts at 4 TH. Produces ~42¢ per day worth of bitcoin at the current price and costs about 30¢ per day to run. If you want to profit $100+ a month, you're better off looking for a big rig like the Antminer S19XP or S21 or something like that. But those are loud and very hot.

On medium it's nearly silent. On high you can hear it but it's not terrible but it is noticeable if you're in the same room. I wouldn't call it "loud" though. You won't be able to hear it from a different room though.

Your complaining that it does 1TH at 60w power? Are ok? I bought the KNC Miner Titan when it was announced, what a big mistake, but it used two 1200 or 1500w power supplies to get its 1TH. So you should find a cool place for your Nano 3 and crank it up to 4TH.

Yes it is, but you have to mine to a solo pool. That said you can easily set up your own solo pool with Public Pool.

lol you don't sound like an idiot In terms of "making money" you're essentially making like 15-20 cents a day. If you currently have no bitcoin, I'd consider buying weekly till.you have $500-$1k+ in cold storage then moving onto mining. if you already have all of that or more and wanna learn more about bitcoin, help with dEcEnTrAlaLiZaTiOn & stuff like that then this product is a very affordable and cool way to do that.
