Random thing that no one will care about but I gotta mention - you're not the only Geoguessr player I've seen say "Newfie" to refer to the place, but that's what you'd call the people from Newfoundland, which makes it sound weird to Canadian ears, like if we referred to Australia as a place, as "Aussie" rather than Oz

Noted. Funny because geo players do call aus aussie lmao

@16:00 506 is a good one to remember because it's for the entire province of NB, whereas most provinces would have multiple

Just a tip for Manitoba if you aren’t sure, if you look at the highway in Manitoba, they have gravel shoulders, so if you look at a paved road, the middle will be paved while the sides will be gravel! Much more common on the PR highway network but can be found also on their PTH road network.

11:20 Newfoundland isn't actually northern. The capital, St. John's, is slightly further south than Seattle, making it further south than Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba (and BC if you don't count Vancouver island!) But yeah, the curve of the earth makes things look wonky when you look at map of Canada or North America.

Every time you said "state" instead of "province" I died a little bit inside.

I practice Canada a decent bit and noticed a few extra metas in the video and thought I'd share some other tips you didn't mention: 1:45 - The format of the green street sign you have here is only an ONT thing, most of the time should this be in south ONT 5:27 - The top bulb facing perpendicular to the road on poles is definitely a QC thing and you see it most of the time. However it is also more common and consistent in NS as there are pretty much no exceptions 6:13 - The somewhat decagonal looking box on the far left of your screen is a Newfie box and is only found there (I've seen like 1 exception ever on ABC). Other eastern provinces like NB, NS, and QC also have boxes commonly but they are more square looking. 9:47 - There is a distinct difference between the poles that I believe you are referring to in QC from the ones in ONT. The two side bulbs on ONT ones which are tilted upwards are connected to the pole by a seemingly long U shaped metal connector. The Quebec ones do not have such a connection and are just connected with singular metal branches. An example of what I mean for this is at 5:21. The BC ones can look very similar to the ONT ones but you can use other clues to rule out ONT if you see them. 10:54 - For regionguessing in Newfie, if you have really pink soil you should be near the area from Springdale to Lewisporte. However, keep in mind you get pink soil elsewhere on the island. 14:30 - The white and blue unblurred car here I've personally only seen in southern Sask in Canada along and below the 1. I think some Sask poles were also visible in the background as you panned around but were kinda hard to make out. For those unfamiliar, Sask poles are capital T shaped with having an alternating bulb pattern on each side. (I.E. one pole will have 2 bulbs on the left side then next has 2 bulbs on the right) Edit: The white and blue unblurred car is actually found elsewhere in northern sask but is most common in the south Hopefully some of this helps someone, I'm not the best player at Canada but I've found that these work consistently for me
