please আমাকে একটু help করবেন। আমি food science subject এ memorial university তে application করেছি এবং application form 2jon আমার পছন্দের supervisor নাম উল্লেখ করতে হয়েছে, পরের দিন supervisor কে email করেছি, supervisor k email করার পরেরদিন, আমি যে 2 refarence দিয়েছি তাদের কাছে email গেছে recommendation দেওয়ার জন্য কিন্তু Professor আমার email কোন response করেনি। একন টেনশন হচ্ছে কোন supervisor manage করতে না পারলে admission পাবো কিনা? বুঝতে পারছি না।

Our advice to you will be to email faculty members directly if you are looking for project based funds. Central funds are usually always decided by a central committee - after you have applied to the university. Hence, you are bound to receive generic replies if you inquire about central funds! Dear Saad Elahi, For admission without funding, you can apply for masters without publications and with as much gap as you have - not a problem at all! On the other hand, funding is similar to job hunting - Professors will take the best candidate they have. Hence, it is natural that any candidate with a publication will receive an edge over you. On the other hand, your 7-8 years of work experience might give you the edge in situations where such experience is critical! Bottomline is - try to create a CV and other documents and start emailing. Dear Sabbir, It's a great question! Students often shift to better opportunities when higher ranked universities are involved - it is only logical! However, we would advice you to refrain from signing offer letters from lower-ranked universities immediately if you are optimistic about better opportunities coming your way. "Ditching" a Professor is not a problem usually - however, it might reduce the chances of other Bangladeshi students being hired into that faculty's lab as he / she will already have a negative impression about you! To summarize - yes you can "ditch" Professors, but only as a last resort. Try to solve things with patience and care. Hope it helps!
