CANADA DIARIES 🌨️ We tried Beavertails for the first time, Frozen hike & Fairmont Banff Springs

Today we have our final two days exploring Banff National Park! We are here for the first time, exploring Alberta Canada
🇨🇦 We first head off to the supposedly haunted Fairmont, Banff Springs to check out the place before gearing up and heading on a icy walk through Johnston Canyon to see the frozen waterfalls in Banff National Park
🇨🇦 To end our trip here in Banff we get back to the town, and try some canadian food like Beaver tail and finish up our evening enjoying a lovely meal!

My favourite is the Killaloe Sunrise Fried dough with cinnamon sugar sprinkles, and a squeeze of lemon over them.

@@carol-annegrenier5692 Killaloe is the classic go-to. Hard to go wrong! I personally love the garlic cheese one, but I fully admit it is disgusting. Most people I know hate it. I don't know why, but I love it!

I remember eating beaver tails as a kid while skating on the Rideau Canal in Ottawa, back in the 80's, mmmm so good I love them. Though I find, they tend to make them smaller now than what they used to be.

Great video! The same company owns Lays chips and Walker's Crisps. We're able to get Walkers where we live in Ontario and prefer them to Lays. They have some unique flavours.

Thank you for taking us on holiday with you! I'm American, married to an Englishman & we fill a suitcase with Cadbury's to bring back with us after we go to England! To be fair, American chocolate has to withstand adverse conditions- It has to be able to go huge distances through more extreme temperature ranges and it needs a longer shelf life. You can find Cadbury's here but you have to check the label to make sure it's not manufactured/ruined by Hershey's.

Love your videos!! Those roads looked very slippery!! Dean is now part of the car pushing crew in winter. The extreme cold makes you very tired!! Especially when you get all warm and toasty, after being very cold!!! Always put me right to sleep.

I worked at the Banff springs. It's true that a bride that died there walks the hallways. Also a bellman dressed in clothing from the 60's has been noticed by guests.

My fav beaver tail is the classic with cinnamon sugar, however, the maple is my 2nd fav so great choice! I’m Canadian, but live on the East coast & have never seen the mountains on that side of the country in person. Some day I hope too. I’ve enjoyed this series so much! Canada (or at least western Canada) actually has Cadbury chocolate everywhere, grocery stores, convenience stores, etc. It was probably just super expensive there because everything is expensive in Banff haha! You'll have to try Purdys chocolates next time you visit!

Cadbury Canada's brands are manufactured in Toronto. Many of those brands are not sold in the UK & USA. There are shops that will sell Britsh products that include Cadbury brands such as Flake that are not manufactured domestically.

@catherinekayy for the most part 🇨🇦 uses real milk chocolate. Hersheys chocolate is not real chocolate and tastes shite. The 🇨🇦 Mars Bar tastes the same as the 🇬🇧.

I think I had read that there are some legal barriers stopping Cadbury imports in to North America. There used to be more, but Hersheys put some barriers in place. (Hersheys 🤢) Also, just my opinion, but Cadbury is not a very good chocolate, average at best, 😮. Galaxy is much much better, and Whittakers from NZ has my heart - def best chocolate!
