Hello, kindly respond to my question !! As I am student of may 2020 intake and my classes are going on online but m still in India !! Actually I have 1 year program in conestoga college and according to Canadian govt. I can complete my 50% study from out of Canada , so it is compulsory for me to go in Canada till September first week as my 50% study will complete in August and second semester will start from 8 september 2020 .. So please give me your suggestions sir/madam !!! Initially my plan was to complete 1+1 year course and go for 3 yr work permit !! But now I am doing my first year course from India and colleges are now open for January 2021 intake and if I should go for my second 1 year program then I have to pay my first semester fees now !!! Is it worth to get admission in second 1 year program or i should leave my dream of coming to Canada !! Because if international flights will not restart till September 2020 then I will not be eligible for work permit !! My classmates are also confused.. please give us any suggestions please .. it’s a humble request !!

For the September intake- we’ve been told that we can come until December 31st too and points won’t be deducted from our post graduate work permit. I think taking classes online until then and then coming end of November/December could be an option too.

I also came as student in Jan 2020 , in GTA region . I didn't get any job for first three months but when Corona started i got a Job with good pay . I would suggest everyone to come Canada if its possible for them for Sep 2020 intake because Corona is not as much deadly for young people, also possibility of getting a job is more in fall than winters. But do not start your Studies in India .

Defering again to Jan 2021 has a biggest con, like students from May 2020, September2020, and Jan 2021 will come all together.. and there will be a lot rush. As my program is blended, have to be in canada in this fall, will it be worth or not? Already defered from may to September, Although i have 3-4 friends on whom I can rely.. Please guide Mr. Parul

I am also in the same situation , I deferred my intake (for some personal reason) from Jan to may then due to Covid I need to defer it once again so I did for September but now I can't do further and I don't have contacts as such whom I can rely .My course is law clerk in Seneca, and I think for law course I really need alot of books, contacts, research ,library and so on but I think it's not possible in this situation and I can't wait for Jan 2021 because I got my visa on Jan 2020 so it will be one year If you will read please reply or it will be very helpful if you can make a Video on law clerk, paralegal course. It's okay if it will be short but altleast it will be very useful for us. I don't think most of the people choose law related course I have searched a lot but I didn't find much. I just found one or two videos but they are not very helpful so I used this comment box to explain my situation. Please guide if you know something, thanks :)

@Parul TV as per my recon, one of the students in this video is currently pursuing cybersecurity OCGC course from Seneca. Could you please check with her about the PGWP duration since Seneca's website shows that the course is of 8 months. No mention of 1 Academic Year. It's too confusing. Please help us out. I'm preferring a 1yr OCGC as I already have a masters degree for which I have an ECA done. Please advise.

I would recommend you wait until 2021. Cities in Ontario make it mandatory to now wear mask inside. Facilities..including grocery stores. Boarder is still close and our health care team is getting ready for next wave in September. I strongly don't think flights from india or outside Canada will be allowed only through strict regulations.

Yes you can attend online classes from India. But you HAVE to be in Canada before 31st December 2020. Side note - Only start your online classes if you've received your study permit.

Hey, I gave my IELTS in Jan 2020, applied for admission in Seneca Toronto on 1 May 2020 and received my offer letter from the same on 1 June 2020, The fees due payment according to The LOA is 28 June 2020, 6 days from now and i have asked my counselor to ask for an extension and write it to seneca, this is all for January 2021 intake i am planning for 1+1 what is your review on this when should i pay my fees as the International borders are still closed?

As per IRCC rules, if international student will study 50% of course online than he/she will eligible to get PGWP. But I got admission in one year graduate certificate course for fall intake. So, my 50% of study will completed till December 2020. But due to running pandemic situations, my question is that what if this online study will conduct online in January 2021 intake also? Than my full course will consider as a online study. Would I still eligible to get one year PGWP?

It's really sad for the students. I know my nieces in NZ really missed uni attendance and even the joy of travelling to uni. 😊. Not having human interaction is a detriment to growth at any time. I think students must come because a new environment will be refreshing. But perhaps the students in Canada can form a help group for those coming over.

you can talk to university and ask then for additional courses. I had a 3 year degree too but did few extra courses ($$$) and u will be eligible to apply. Its called Qualifying program*. This is something that no consulting company will do for you. You have to do it YOURSELF. CALL THE UNI.... Good Luck!
