Obviously the contact looks like it is caused by Ben but you are driving into a gap that's too small (full throttle, with overtake and DRS) even before he swerves left, so whilst I think its Ben's fault and IRL he'd get a penalty, with hindsight and no stewards to save you need to have more self preservation. The real problem for me is this incident just highlights the issue with Creator series in its current format, they either need some form of stewards to enforce driving standards, as we see incidents like this all the time, or as a driver and viewer you just have to accept that things like this are just going to happen, the other driver can just get away with it and at most you'll get a post race apology when your race is ruined and you just can't get annoyed about it. It's been an issue for ages imo, this incident is a carbon copy of Meraki on Ben in Spa which ultimately led to Meraki winning a creator series championship.

Pretty much. Drivers are going to go for the content-moves sometimes, but they come out of the blue against drivers who're properly tryharding and there needs to be some accountability to it. The result basically always stands with a handshake and a "try not to do that again", but there's no consistency to it. It's a good thing there's no money on the line lol.

There may have been no room in the end, but that gap was opening when I went for it. Worst case, if Ben didn't swipe me, I could have ducked in behind GB

Many people might disagree with me but i think it was a well deserved victory from ben. Yes the incident was Ben's fault but you should not of tried to go in between two cars. That was not an intelligent thing to do. No way were you making it through cleanly

Where else did you want him to go? He had over speed and Ben swerved in both directions to block him. It’s not on Alex to lift and sit behind there, it’s on Ben to not swerve into the path of someone else

@@cwadlow if you have over speed, but there is no gap to fit through... you lift and go when bens exit is compromised from the chicane. However Alex is a content creator and is trying to make content. I see both sides of this

@@cwadlow "Where else did you want him to go?" The smart thing to do was to back off and follow GB. If Ben and GB go side by side then Alex can capitalize but if not then he is at worst in 3rd with 11 laps to go and very much in the battle to win. Alex talks about having fun and going for it but that will always put him at risk and if he loses a wing while trying to go 3 wide into a chicane then he shouldn't complain. Not that I think Alex is complaining too much. Either way, it's great content.

If I'm in Ben's shoes there, I'm side by side with someone coming to a chicane, you're coming up behind, I want to discourage you from going 3 wide, so I leave half a gap between me and GB so you can't go there and the inside line is now very tight. The reactionary swerve, was silly though, but could have been indecision or confusion on predicting where you're going, which I can understand... But drama = views, so you can think the worst

Everything Alex consistently complains about with other drivers and their driving he seems to have started doing now more often. I get it’s for content more now and wants exciting racing but just feels like it’s becoming an every race thing now an incident

Didn't need to, but I'm just trying to have fun, while Ben is trying to win at all costs. See 2 laps before, 3 wide and we all survive - fun. 2 laps later, Ben desperate to block me in a straight and it kills the racing - not fun

I’m ngl - saying your going for gaps cuz it’s fun but when it doesn’t work it’s not is stupid. Yes Ben probably shouldn’t have went over but you went for a gap that wasn’t open , yea Ben went over but not enough to warrant you going in between. It’s a racing incident cuz the gap wasn’t there when you arrived and Ben came over so both at fault
