Actual border crossing occurred on Aug 14, 2017.
Blue Water Bridge between Sarnia, Ontario and Port Huron, Michigan.

No issues whatsoever, no difference in questioning from previous border crossings under Clinton (my first border crossing into USA took place in 1998), Bush 43 or Obama.
Roughly no more than 2 min to clear the U.S. Customs.

Lived there 45 years. I have 1 request of the truckers when they exit the bridge plaza( on the American side) & proceed to I-94, stay in your lane!! Do not swing over to the right!! That is a short entrance ramp, on a slight uphill slant, for oncoming local traffic. I don't know how many times I almost got force# off the road by truckers swinging to the right!! Proceed in lane until you at least hit the bridge crossing the Black River. Better yet, stay in left lane until after bridge crossing the Black River. This can be a busy section of road.

I predict lots of them will refuse to cross the border both ways if forced to get vaxxed against their own will. Curious how the already-bad supply chain issue will look like when we'll now have a shortage of border-crossing truckers delivering essentials from anywhere in America to anywhere in Canada and vice versa! As someone who lives in a country that doesn't share a land border with any other country (Australia), I have always been interested in how countries that do share land borders mark out the border between them, and the way that people are allowed to cross the border.

Hi Graham, I'm a Canadian citizen AND frequent USA/Canada border crosser with a vast experience in land border requirements. MUST have a valid Canadian passport to cross into USA but no tourist visa required IF you stay up to 180 days in USA. Also allowed to carry your legally own firearm (s) to USA with proper ATF approval (permit) declared at the border. Hi Robert, Very same Blue Water Bridge border crossing but with date & time stamped on the video (which I personally think it's pretty cool!): To USA: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fnWZnWuCa8aFncU&t= To Canada: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3SrhYduns6im5o&t= In both cases, first stop is for the toll (sometimes the credit card machine does not work properly so gotta make sure I wasn't charged twice), second stop for the actual Customs inspection. Exclusively for privacy issues, that won't be any audio (purposely disabled by me before publishing the video on YT) during Customs questioning (name, where do you live, etc.). And if you're curios, here's how Border Patrol Checkpoints look like around Texas-Mexico border with sound (audio) on the video simply b/c those are totally different type of inspection checkpoints and they do not ask private info unless maybe when they send you to the "secondary": kzbin.info/aero/PLInTFVcLGchnQCh98DMW24S2Fj4ovpRP2 Be safe.

First off, MUST be fully vaxxed in order to cross the border both ways! If you are, I'll include the toll in the next comment. I'm not vaxxed (fully unvaxxed with zero comorbidity medical conditions) therefore I (Canadian citizen) cannot leave Canada at all, land, air or sea! Prisoner in my own country! Stay well.

Sorry my friend but not everybody hates America or Trump. I'm Canadian/Toronto, crossed the border dozens of times, most of the time no more than 2-3 min but sometime it takes longer and not much anybody can do, just answer their questions truthfully AND if you have nothing to hide, anything illegal in your vehicle POT included, you have nothing to worry and soon you'll be on your way to your American destination. More info on NEXUS: www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/prog/nexus/application-demande-eng.html As you can see, b/c of the pretty drastic requirements (eligibility, documents, interview, $50 fee, etc.) very few ppl use a NEXUS card therefore they deserve their own separate lane. Otherwise nobody is gonna enroll in the NEXUS program when they have to wait in line with rest of non-NEXUS card holders.
